I had an intractable - for me - MIDI problem. Peter came to the rescue. I no longer have an intractable MIDI problem. And so epically patient!

Could someone clue me up about the out of phase pickups? Is it just a matter of reversing the phase of one of them? TIA

If you are playing in tune, in time and not experiencing pain, there is not much else to worry about.

I did own one. It was the 2nd of 4 6ers I have owned as I tried to get my head around them (see also fretless basses). It did everything right, but there is no denying it was a weighty piece of kit. Having said that, my present Overwater 6 is also weighty. So that is probably a 6 thing rather than a HB thing.

I do not have anything to add about his artistry, but I liked the fact that he apparently specced basses with no strap buttons. Sitting down is the best.

Snap for the FNRS. How else would I have discovered The Dixie Dregs?

An artist for me is someone who pursues expression within their chosen discipline. As a bassist I have never seen myself as an artist. I am a craftsman, and I like it. I have recently started wrting and recording my own stuff. I never used to because I could not imagine anything I ever wrote comparing to Zawinul or Corinne BR or Floyd or Ben Folds (only the 5 iteration). I have recently made peace with the fact that the noise I make is the noise I make and none the worse for that. So part of me is exploring that artist side. I have just retired so the world better get ready for my Grey Vanity Project! The advantage of retiring is more time (apparently). The disadvantage is that I no longer have access to the beautifully equiped, ATC packing, control room at work.
