    I cannot speak for the Neve 1073-ness of it at all. I imagine not. However I have found the Grace Felix pedal to be very fine indeed with my DB. The Hellborg preamps occasionally come up for really not much money and fitting all that gubbins into a pedal is going to be tricky indeed.

    I like to think about myself as verticaly challenged.

    If I get one it will be to be played portrait. I like the DB curvature under my right hand. It is a big IF.

    You know what this is. It is a lovely thing but it does not have enough strings for me. The frame is a complete revelation. It makes playing it completely natural coming from a DB background. I will stick with my NS because it has the B.

You will not see a fretless five string full fat Omnibass 2nd hand for ages and ages and ages. And the price is right. I have a vested interest as the original owner. It is a lovely instrument.
