Oh the integrity! I bet nothing gets swept under the carpet at your house. -

At long last. Someone who can finally explain who the flipping walrus was and where Paul was buried. Oh yeah, and Happy Sixty Fourth you old scrote! -
Reminds me of a gig we did at the Goth and Giggle one night... Moany Ben had worked up an arrangement of Disco Duck and was dressed as Count Duckula. I had misunderstood at rehearsal and I'd learnt Joe Dart's line's from Funky Duck. As we launched into the intro Antwaun Stanley got up and started to sing... Well. Moany Ben was all about the Rick Dees lyrics and Antwaun was all like oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo The crowd loved it. Disco laced with Funky, Goth garnished with Disco cheese... we got a nomination for Mash-up of the Year, a bale of pancakes and a firkin of Hoisin sauce to round the night off. Good times. I just wish Will I Am would stop pestering me to sign up.

I found out recently that it was written for Jeff Beck. Wondrous. "Jeff Beck was an admirer of Wonder's music, and Wonder was informed of this prior to the Talking Book album sessions. Though at this point he was virtually playing all of the instruments on his songs by himself, Wonder still preferred to let other guitarists play on his records, and he liked the idea of a collaboration with Beck, a star-in-the-making guitarist. An agreement was quickly made for Beck to become involved in the sessions that became the Talking Book album, in return for Wonder writing him a song." Full article

Has anyone tried this Tuner/DI? It seems pricey but it would seem to be a good one for the minimalists.

Thanks for the heads up. Congratulations Andy. How many candles are there on the meat pie? -
They're both in my set I practice those regularly by playing along to recordings by the original artist. I just need band mates to work with me on my "set" and turn out an acceptable arrangement for these and other songs on the list.

Well done. Is it my eyesight or is the truss adjustment drilling behind the nut off axis?

Airborne contamination perhaps from a kitchen extractor distributing greasy particles? Frustrating.

Thumbs up for that comment. -
Ever since Stars on 45 did their beatmatching lash-up segue thing in the early eighties it's been getting worse. Now we have mash-ups. Not my thing at all. I was never fond of collage either.

Depends on who's glutes you are comparing your volute too. If it was me, I'd have it shaped to resemble Beyonce tying the shoelaces on her Doc Martens. Wisecracks aside; that's looking like summat to get to grips with. Tactile and highlighted by your laminated neck. Class. I always though a carbuncle was the fat one that keeps buying you chips when he takes you and your dad to the seaside. -

Gosh yes. I've just noticed how the lines are not where frets would have to be.
-
I just thought you had difficulty telling right from left and I kept it to myself to save embarrassing you. Oops.

Unless you were really going for that brittle, crunchy sound. Who needs pedals? Just chuck a glass guitar down the stairs (with the guitarist if you want to flesh out that tone with some warmer notes).
-
That's a tone model I'd really like to see offered on DAWs. (I spent many happy years on a farm.)

It's on my set list. I was practising it yesterday with all of the doors and windows open, wearing nowt but shorts and sandals, sweating like I was at a gig. Priceless. (Image withheld out of common decency)

Have a look through the Build Diaries. There are a few builds by a member called @Andyjr1515 where he makes lightweight instruments with a full fat kick. It might be that a lighter instrument or a better fit for the one you have would be worth investigating. Many of the experienced players find that a move to a lighter instrument can keep them in the game for longer.

Now that you've moved up from drums to bass it's time to let you in on the big secret. The drummer is the only one who's kept in a shed despite what the rest of the band told you. Heeheehee.

Glass Fretboard on a guitar. Just in case there were any sceptics. @Norris The answer to the burning question; What guitar is best for metal? Turns out it's a glass one. Who'd a thunk it?
-
I was prompted to visit Vigier's website as I was intrigued by the metal fretboard. Have I got it right in saying that there appear to be three things that are common to Vigiers? - Short scale, metal fingerboards on fretless models and super low action? I was mulling over the notion of having an enamelled metal fingerboard on a fantasy build last year. I got over myself pretty quick and moved on. In the course of this morning's search though, I saw something about glass fingerboards. Dang. (shuffles off for a good old boggle at the concept)
