  1. I especially like how the swift seems to follow the grain pattern.
  2. (Replied on the other topic by the same name.)
  3. Welcome Chris. I have the 605. It has two humbuckers as opposed to a J and a P pickup. It's got a great neck so I am confident that you will be comfortable with yours.
  4. Were the screws bought as items in themselves or were they bundled with some other purchase?
  5. Sweet. Just sweet.
  6. I love it! The screws look far better than if you'd stopped the old drill holes with dowel. They make the unfaded band of woodstain look intentional somehow. Can't wait to hear how she plays.
  7. Looking well and sounding well. I'd call that a win!
  8. How long do you think you will need to leave them for this time? From this it's easy to see how well respected and established luthiers get behind on their deliveries.
  9. We've had to guard ours from four grandchildren so far. Near as I can make out, it's because they look vaguely like nipples
  10. I was biting my tongue. That turntable looks incredible. I always wanted one with a granite plinth with a glass platter. They must cost thousands now. I daren't look.
  11. Welcome Zach.
  12. Welcome Steve.
  13. That headstock detail is beautiful. The binding and the inlay... breathtaking.
  14. I am in mind of the lost Dr Who episodes that were recovered from someone's loft after years of being thought of as irrevocably lost.... They weren't masters if I recall correctly. They got broadcast anyway.
  15. Both headstocks look good but I think I prefer the angled machine heads.
  16. That's a quote you want to keep amongst friends.
  17. Yeah. Lucky that. Heeheehee.
  18. I think it was the veneer on ply in the top right that confused me. Thanks. That's helped me understand it a lot better. You are doing your hatches in veneered ply if I've understood correctly.
  19. Welcome lurker.
  20. Can you explain what I'm looking at in this photo please? I'm trying to understand how you are choosing the best matching grain.
  21. Just one small point. If you intend to screw the blanking plates into the wood fillets that you've fitted, you may have problems with it being an end grain. The wood is likely to split. I'd recommend using Velcro to hold the blanking plates in place instead.
  22. Welcome Peds.
  23. Welcome Tigershark.
