  1. Welcome Jim.
  2. I've just bought one myself. Although I am not an expert I'll have a go at answering some of your questions. The B3n will do seven patches in a chain and I read that it has better quality sims. It gets rid of the XLR out though. I'm dead happy with the relative simplicity of three effects at a time in the B3 for now. Great topic OP!
  3. Welcome Alex.
  4. Welcome Mike.
  5. Welcome Aenar.
  6. I did a quick search and I think it may have been for this: Futurelight Miracle 1200 Unit. Nice case.
  7. That's a very nice looking bass.
  8. It has indeed. Worth the extra effort just going from your photos. Neat fret job too. It looks like you will only need the lightest of dressings if that.
  9. I've just taken delivery of a Zoom B3 with expression pedal from Nick. I'm very happy with the whole transaction. The items were sent yesterday on receipt of my bank transfer and they arrived this morning in a well wrapped package. Everything is in good working order. Nick was easy to communicate with throughout and there was no fuss at any stage. I am happy to vouch for him should you be considering a transaction.
  10. Why not try ending with Italic dots instead, just for a change? It shows an inclination to be enigmatic instead.
  11. *Caption needed All together now! *Gettin banty widdit. Please ignore Off Topic reference to the implied letter P. Other letters are available. May contain nuts.
  12. Never mind... have a humbug
  13. Castor oil might help. But yes, That'll add a touch of class.
  14. Sole Dad. You've come to the right plaice for a fat helping of good old codswallop.
  15. E dammed if I know for sure. He's Gouda have an opinion on it one whey or another.
  16. Have you taken this up with @ped - the big cheese?
  17. Just to rind things off; Does no-one buy P basses or Js come to that just for how they look? They've got to be one of the most common sights in the eyes of music fans and wannabe players.
  18. Welcome Chris.
  19. ...only if you claim that it has been chambered for lightness. Definitely. No question. In fact it's become a bit of a tradition to have cake at Bass Bashes too.
  20. Re-welcome Simon and congratulations on the anniversary. Nice cake.
  21. ...and lead free fishing is crap.
  22. It is a satisfying material to work with if you follow a few simple rules. Most of these are to do with it being a notch sensitive material. In other words it will easily start to crack wherever there is a sharp nick or inside corner to concentrate stresses within the material. As Maude says, careful choice of sawblade pitch in tpi (Teeth Per Inch) relative to the thickness of the material and rate of cut should produce good results even with a hacksaw. Sometimes however, trial and error is the way to go with more complex cuts. Be prepared to do the same piece over from scratch if it goes bang (usually just as you're finishing it in my humble experience).
