  2. aaaaaarrrgghhhh ,if only i hadn't treated myself to the prs santana 25 anniv for christmas, you could always offer me this as a p/ex on the old matchless tho, best of luck bump for a true vision of loveliness, mike b.
  3. pre christmas bump, have found myself a guitar amp, but would consider a "travel " size acoustic guitar or any bass related swaps or trades, mike b
  4. pipe lagging from B&Q or Wickes is my personal favourite, any leftovers gets put on my mountain bike frame to protect it when its heaved into the back of the car, mike b
  5. I might take this as a deposit on the matchless, all the best, mike.
  6. this is one of a pair of PA spkrs I bought some time ago,it's twin brother has been used as an ext cab to my GK 150MBS & also to various guitar amps, rated at 8ohms @ about 75w from memory, handles low B well & good all round sound with guitar or bass, dims are 520 x 380 x 300 deep, in excellent cond & cheap enough at £30, if you wan't to replace the spkr with something higher powered you would be hard pressed to make a cabinet alone for that money, Collection only from close to M5 junc 28 or during working hours I am next door to Exeter airport, mike b having trouble adding pic will try again later
  7. Noooooh , not the lovely Rita, one of the best sounding basses I have ever owned, only the change to fives prompted the sale of the fabled bass chat bike, have fond memories of her & whoever takes her on will not be disappointed, mike b.

  9. May accept any bass related trades as well, let me know what you have, when new this was a similar price to a top end ovation, mike b.
  10. Another one from my old uk built guitar collection, these were made in Leicester during the 80's-90's, this one was built around 1983 before the factory was set up, far superior in my opinion to any ovation I have played, neck is wider at the nut & much less cramped, it has played a few notes in it's time so does have some mojo but neck & frets are in good condition.Solid top, ebony board, maple mahogany neck, passive piezo pickup system & an action that most electric players would die for. Shame to have this sat around unused, I value it at £350 but if you think differently feel free to make an offer, trade wise things I could use would be a 5 string fretless, baritone uke, travel size acoustic, small lightweight bass amp head, with cash either way depending what you have, guitar is not cased so collection only or may meet up at a sensible distance, happy new year all, mike b [attachment=121633:pad.jpg] [attachment=121634:pad2.jpg] [attachment=121635:pad3.jpg] [attachment=121636:pad4.jpg]

  13. Stunning, not sure the wrinkly fingers could cope with another string tho', had a look at the old build thread but couldn't see anything on string spacing at bridge or scale length, does this use std 34" double ball strings or does it have clamps at the blunt end, mike b. ( oh no I've started drooling out of the corner of my mouth now )

  18. back under the bed bump,if you have never tried one of these they do les paul as well as any gibbo I have owned or tele as well as any fender with the pickup switching options available, sadly my guitar playing days are coming to an end, so I am looking for a hardtail or acoustic to set up for slide in open tuning or an elusive thumb b/o 5er, any takers, mike b.
  19. thought I would realist this, collection only from sunny devon, '93 eggle berlin pro in excellent order apart from some wear to gold plate on p'up surrounds, complete with oe case & tags, £650 collection only (close to june 28/M5), may px with little martin, warwick thumb 5 or tele with cash either way, could arrange a meet within 100 miles or so , mike b. Acoustic's

depends on your budget, I bought a taylor gs mini 3/4 size suits my arthritic fingers a treat & sounds stunning, if you fancy something full size I have a rare Pilgrim electro accoustic made in leics in the early '80s, no case so collection only from sunny devon, better than an ovation in my opinion, a gift at £350 if you are interested
