7. Thanks to a fellow b'chatter sarah thomas who put me on to the "ukulelecosmos forum" I came across a stunning craftsman Stuart Longridge who built this for me- english walnut body, lacewood neck, ebony h'stock, fretboard & bridge, all stuart's instruments are oil finished with almond oil which buffs up to a fantastic shine going to try this out on my warwick fna, sounds just as good as it looks, mike b

9. of all the basses I have owned a '93 bolt on 4 string is the one I miss the most, would love to find a b/o 5 string, very underrated & undervalued is my opinion, mike b.

12. I have had both Ti & D'ad chromes on fretted & fretless in the past, the thomastics seem "woodier" in tone compared to the chromes, D'ad chromes every time for me .
13. If you don't mind taking a drill to your treasured instrument try moving the position of the lower strap button away from the centre line of the body, i.e. think of the bass in terms of hands of a clock, headstock at 12 o'clock lower button at 6.00, move the lower button to somewhere around 7.00, this will shift the way the bass hangs on a strap & will improve balance, ideally get someone to help hold the bass while you have the strap attached at the top horn only & you can try to obtain the optimum position for the lower button before drilling, hope that makes some sense, mike b.

15. hello, seen a couple of these 5 string models offered for sale recently, would any current owner mind measuring the neck width & thickness at the 12th fret, also any one know if the profile has changed over the time they were in production, thanks, mike b ( if anyone is thinking of selling one send me a pm )
16. bumpalumpa for 5 string trades fretted or fretless, partial to warwicks or any small bodied 34" scale, don't mind adding cash if you have something nice (e.g. another Sei) or be brave & make an offer, mike b.
17. hello, what is string spacing at bridge, also is it 34" scale , do fancy px'ing it towards this- http://basschat.co.uk/topic/153016-overwater-fretless-progress-4/page__view__findpost__p__1624716__hl__overwater__fromsearch__1 or are you looking for a cash sale,is it cased, all the best, mike b.

19. welcome to the world of sei, I haven't played anything else since I bought "no. 11" , best investment I have ever made, mike b. post-3981-0-49272900-1328975305.jpg
20. This was actually made for "old slapper", it was this bass that put me back into headless mode, gigged it several times & it always sounded ace,I found the neck a little chunky (read precision like) for my tastes, sold it along with a few other bits to fund my sei headless 5 purchase, the hardware alone is worth close to the asking price, best of luck bump, mike b
