  3. Best bet is to move or fit another strap pin to allow the body end to hang slighly lower,a rough guide try moving the bottom pin by 70mm.If you have three hands or someone to hold the bass while its around your neck you can get a better idea of where to fit the pin by holding the free end of the strap against the body of your bass ,Works for me ,mike b.
  4. Nice to see my old faithfull has found a new home,it was strung with stainless elites when I traded it with giblet some time ago, also used status hot wires but didn't really notice any difference between the two brands, best thing I remember about this was it never needed re-tuning,I did check it once a year though ,just in case.Enjoy it, a headless status is something that everyone should own at least once, mike b.
  5. as a corvette has just sold for £500 I will give this one last try, price reduction bump, mike b.
  6. This used to be mine, the electronics were upgraded by status, spec is master vol, pan, treble cut/boost & bass cut/boost.Only reason I sold this was I found status necks a little wide for my arthritic fingers . A headless Status is something that every bass player should own at least once in their lifetime, double ball strings are easy to source or you can use single ball & clamp them at the nut,Great bass for someone out their, best of luck with the sale, mike b
  7. Looks like its back to the wardrobe for this one.
  8. I did think about a defret at one time but an email from overwater put an end to that idea, the chrome hardware is origional & in excellent condition, always been an option from warwick & in my opinion looks better than aged/worn black hardware, mike.
  9. Shameless pre weekend bump before I consign this to the back of the wardrobe. mike b.
  10. Yes its still for sale, kept it on hold for someone from this forum who has failed to turn up on two pre arranged attempts, for anyone else now looking at this here are three simple questions- 1 Do you wan't to own a warwick thumb 4bo - yes/no 2 Do you have the funds to purchase the advertised instrument - yes/no 3 Are you in a position to collect this bass from Devon - yes/no If you faill to answer yes to all three questions there seems to be little point in proceeding any further. I have dealt with some great people on this forum in the past,so I'm sorry if this sounds a little cynical, mike b.
  11. Prospective buyer couldn't complete,so this is now back on offer, please note this is collection only, thanks, mike b.

  14. This has taken a back seat since I bought my ow fretless,my musicman now gets used at jam sessions & it seems a waste to have this gathering dust at home. Neck & frets are in excellent order, low action, great player, body does have some battle scars (mainly around the edges),has brass adjustanut, ser no dates it as 94,no case so collection only, pro quality bass now only £decided to hang on to this afer all [attachment=33916:thumb1.JPG] [attachment=33917:thumb2.JPG] [attachment=33918:thumb3.JPG] [attachment=33919:thumb4.JPG] best described as a players instrument, not really looking for trades on this, mike b.
  15. nearest thing I have ever found is the forum on - vintageguitars.org.uk also has a section on vintage basses.

  18. Korg Pandora is my weapon of choice, really versatile piece of kit, good battery life, loads of sounds & effects, aux input for cd,mp3 or as I do link up to the pooter where I store loads of music & jam along thro' headphones without disturbing anyone else, later models have 'bass cancel' feature also drum machine, amazing how they cram so much into a small box,all the best, mike b.
