So if you can get a converter for a 1/4” Jack down to a 3.5mm (I haven’t looked) then that may do it. Alternatively get a small mixer like a Xenyx 502 and a stereo to Jack cable and that will record - I have done that

So I would say to add to that when recording, always be sat down, it allows you to be more accurate, and that is where the money is - live is more about the vibe. I seem to often have the little finger edge of my hand providing a bit of muting without the classic mute sound as that is how my hand falls naturally in my playing position. Busy is good!

PGP is also really really good as well. I like the KXM format for recording - they generally get together for about 12 days, no pre-written material - let’s see what happens and out pops some great stuff. Lack of live music aside, it’s a shame they would probably never tour, I think Korn are still a little too big for that

Yeah i have no vested interest or owt to gain, but just like the zoom does for you, they work straight out the box easily, but have the ability to allow you to get stuck in

Not trying to sell any product or UI to anyone, and I am sure using the aftershock (if I remember right) and the neuro editor could have you I been a miss for you, but there are some really cool features on it. The point was a broader one in that you can instantly access a ready made patch just as easily as say a toneprint on the TC electronic gear that gives you a really useable sound you want, in about the same amount of time it takes to get one up and running on the zoom, it’s just you made it come across more like you couldn’t access a myriad of sounds without using a complex editor and play them without loads of extra gear/faff, which is not quite right - regardless of preference of what one uses, which is absolutely fine

That’s giving the SA C4 an unfair rap - have you spent any time with it, or is it presumed hearsay? The pedal stores 6 - a manual switch is flicked to let you know which one you are on. There is a massive free and open resource where you can download any sounds people have made available and they are very good from the likes of Peter on here and guys like Nathan Navarro - you can access the full capabilities with not editing prowess at all and the software tells you the parameters the 4 buttons on the pedal control. If you want to edit and existing or make your own then have a play. The only way to access 128 spaces is via a midi controller and then you would absolutely know which patch you have landed on. Zoom is a good unit, but it’s interface is not putting others to shame, the SA C4 literally takes 2 minutes and you can change patches on the pedal pressing a couple buttons on a tablet, smart phone, PC/mac if you wish

@Sibob I reached out to a guy I chat to who is a good musician with very decent ears and uses TF stuff, and he had the following to say, which may or may not help! The TF 12” are definitely the least coloured cab of the range The 4x8 is inherently bright even with the horn off The cabs probably pair best with the TF amp He uses dual 1x12 to play in decent sized venues no PA support and it’s not an issue The low end seems to roll off quicker than he would like but it’s not too much of a problem. Dont shoot the messenger! That’s some things I got with basic questions Hope it helps

I do get what you are saying and get the business of breaking the cycle, honestly I see the worst in most things but it never occurred to me in this instance about it being a pejorative term about stature as there are so many other ways it has been used as a descriptive word. The N word is a bad one to use and reference and you actually do your argument, statement and message you are trying to get across a real disservice. I cannot think of an instance where it isn’t and wasn’t always an offensive term. Doesn’t make the naming of this particular cab right, more right or less wrong, but it’s a world apart from that example.

It’s a Super Midget but not sure if you think that makes it worse. Midget in its purest definition just means small, or tiny - it’s only language/society which has turned it perjorative. Should the MG/Daihatsu midget car or midget gem sweets suffer the same gripes? Midget submarine, Midget Crabapple? There was a time when the C word was non offensive as it was just a derivative of the Latin word to describe the area, until Shakespeare turned it on its head and the rest is history. The TF will I am sure will be good but may not better the SM

It’s the world of picking mate - muting and stopping strings ringing is a whole different ball game, when to palm, when to use the fret hand, up/downstroke - it’s great fun. What is cool is getting harmonics using your plucking hand, instead of the usual way of gently fretting on the fret hand. Keep going!

SR-16 was an absolute bugger. For real drums is it not way easier to use EZ Drummer or Superior drummer and take the output from your laptop? If not playing live and just using for recording they are also super easy to use in a DAW and have great drum beats and packs
