  1. It’s been a afternoons play for me got about 10 seconds in, still nowhere near him
  2. Hahaha It’s not just the appearance - I may lack a little in the vocal range...... One of those slightly lubricated - i’ll give it a go moments
  3. This rules and is difficult - I tried to sing it once or twice, let alone play it, crikey I felt sorry for the audience..
  4. @Al KrowRe active vs passive and cutting through more in some numbers hence requiring actives - is within the same set/gig with the same band and same type/number of instruments throughout the gig? Why would you want to cut through less at any point?
  5. It’s cos those SL’s are cracking cracking basses
  6. GHS make Sandberg strings, similar to Super steels. What I found exceptional with Sandberg’s are DR Hi Beams
  7. What you are describing us exactly what the VM offers, the precision sound, with extra cut and clarity. Hölger is a genius
  8. Congrats mate once you are hooked on Sandberg, it’s a difficult itch to shift, but so much fun bravo!!!
  9. I do quite like it! has someone mentioned the musicman Big Al SSS earlier in the thread?
  10. These are the nuts - they broke from voodoo labs to do their own thing, they know their stuff
  11. https://www.rockinger.com/index.php/en/Sandberg-T4-Alnico-Pickups/c-WG106/a-SG01N-SG01B they may have 5s or be able to get them or try Sandberg direct
  12. Start of your course buddy!
  13. Sandberg black label
  14. May still do a job
  15. Shame, I dint look at the make sorry!
  16. For blend you will need 6 terminal pots this website is pretty reasonable https://www.axesrus.co.uk/Electronics-Pots-s/1951.htm
  17. Reverb is very good - guitar specific, growing all the time
  18. And as said, happily sandy do a bucket of passives The bulk of mine have been passive from Sandberg
  19. Sandberg passive change in pocket https://www.facebook.com/groups/BassPlayersMarketUK/permalink/2396108717067409?sale_post_id=2396108717067409&sfns=mo this is a hella good price
  20. I got my beef bag off reverb - had to come from the US but it was worth it and the cost was not prohibitive. Dialled in right you could get an almost octave effect unintentionally
  21. Mantic make awesome pedals. I had a beef bag and it went low! Brilliant pedal
  22. I’d like to do an @Jabba_the_gut build course!
  23. For another cheap and cheerful (but heavy) Hartke LH500/1000 give incredible bang for buck, just remember that flat on them is 2-10-2 for bass-middle-treble second hand can be gotten for under £200 and pretty bombproof
  24. I did mention getting the beans out!!!! Stick to my originals!!
  25. Remember if you want no coloration From the EQ run it from out back of the amp and not in front, but I love having a very clean power amp. Aside from what you/I mentioned if you want to get the bean out the Jules M700 or Demeter Minnie 800D are stonking, Quilter bass block May be a good combination of power and intelligent EQ
