  2. I got some from Ebay many moons ago, so i cant remember who, but they've lasted fine
  3. er... roads, sanitation, medicine, education, wine , irrigation
  4. We try to keep our tracks in a similar genre . I've been in a band where they tried to be all things to all people and cover many genres but it ends up as a mish mash. So in this band we stick to jazzy funk groove tracks, and that works well for us
  5. Cheers pal Dyad and double stop appear to be the same, but it's quenched my need to know
  6. Without trawling 6 pages Si, i'll take a guess and say it doesn't have a name other than ' double stop. Shame
  7. Skidder , thanks mate but it doesnt tell me the technical name for it. Like guitarists get weird chords - demolished flat 13th sus etc etc
  8. I was wondering about part of the bass line for Steely Dan's track Peg, and specificully the intro, ( i can already play the bass line ) Its like a chord but only 2 notes. Just wondering if there's a techincal name for it
  9. Yup, i clocked that. Band needs..... everyone, it seems
  10. Mine was that model but dark mahogany sort of colour, but yep, that is the bass i mean - cheers for that vis
  11. Its not a 1000 or a 404 , i think. The 1000's always had a single pup didnt they ? And isn't the 404 a passive bass ? Ebay bass is active It has quite a modern font headstock logo too
  12. He's gone way overboard with his description
  13. My ESP LTD fretless must be some kind of freak, with it's 6 bolt neck. Seems pretty stable though
  14. Likewise Treat yourself , Dorsey fans ..
  15. Indeed - she's very humble for a very talented person. Bass, Guitar, and great vocalist. I'd love 10% of her abilities
  16. Yup, saw her clutching that like a precious jewel. Fair play - great tone, as we could all hear
  17. I like Scott's attitude to interviewing - let's them talk and doesn't ask dumb schoolboy questions. She mentioned she started on guitar , and although later on in her life she declined an offer to play guitar for Prince, she certainly played guitar for Bowie on Ashes to Ashes live at the BBC in 2000. She wapped instruments with guitarist Mark Plati, who swapped to bass for that track
  18. The talented Gail chatting about playing bass for - wait for it - Culture Club and Donny Osmond, amongst others - Bowie of course. And her Epiphone and Kramer basses in the early days. Fascinating woman - so easy to listen to and laid back.
  19. Cheers BB - didn't know those 2 were inspired by the MM tone.
