  1. Bob of RP does not live in Aston anymore. He moved to Abingdon a few years ago. His mum died and he got her house, so sold his Aston gaff. Dave Smart is the guy to go to. He's very busy though, which is a good sign
  2. Musicians are a nightmare. I mean other musicians are a nightmare
  3. Wise words Marc, but too late, sadly. My wallet has taken a right pounding over the last 20 years
  4. In which case ... " fly me to the moon and let me play among the stars " etc
  5. I was thinking the same. I bought fablon to cover a camping table and it was a nightmare, and gave up. Perhaps its a lot easier on a small surface
  6. Lemon squeezy ! And of course, if they get scratches, whip it off, respray, hammer it back on - job done. No brainer !
  7. Yes , i do. Always have done 🐵
  8. I clicked on a bass for sale, which said it had been posted 3 mins previously, and got this error. Instead of clicking on the bass in question, i then went to the basses for sale forum and it wasn't there. Went back out of the basses for sale forum, and the bass in question was still listed, so tried again and got the same error. Has it been deleted or something ?
  9. Last but one band i was in had a singer that appeared on X-factor, and he sang with us for a year, but although he had a great voice ( had to adapt to rock tracks as he was a crooner - sammy davis, etc ) but he was a mini nightmare. Overbearing wife, flaky attitude, lettin us down etc. We folded the band after him and we all moved on
  10. Delusions of grandeur

  12. It's the same item and same seller . It was £13 and it's now £10 after the relisting
  13. Another Peavey IPR 1600 ( ex ) user. Great lightweight power amp. I think they've been superceded now

  16. Because you were asking. If you dont want answers, dont ask
  17. The original link in post No.1 has gone and been pulled
  18. " Manufacturer Refurbished " The guy should go into stand up.
  19. I like this axe - quirky without being over the top https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-1972-Yamaha-SB-60-bass-guitar-Uber-rare-immaculate/302775128703?hash=item467ecdd27f:g:CE4AAOSwY5Ra7yiy
  20. Reminds me of that German outlet shop on Ebay. Every bass listed is way over priced
  21. There's no reason it should be a hard transition. A syn kit is usually smaller and so naturally can be spaced much closer together than acoustic drums, but since you can place them where you like, you could have a syn kit resembling the positions of acoustic drums. The one thing about syn drums is to , more or less , avoid the rubber pads as main drums. They're fine as add-ons ( i used the pads as percussion items ) but the best syn drums to play are the ones with mesh pads. They're tunable, which is paramount, and they have the stick response more like acoustic heads. The cymbals on my kit 20 years ago were not as good as they are now.
  22. Interesting. I just checked his last 2 pages of sales and he's sold nothing above $60. And despite his location being London, it seems all those sales are US $$$$ This guy is wrong. Though i cant see where he's posing as Andy Baxter. The words Andy Baxter only appear in the title ( i couldnt find anywhere else where AB is mentioned ) and maybe thats where the bass was bought from before. But alarm bells are ringing.
  23. When i was drumming, i moved to a Roland kit and loved it. Didnt have cheating issues at all.
