  1. Thanks ! I did try and measure the both types of screws, but they came out at weird sizes. The intonation screws were about 2.5mm and the saddle height screws about 2.78mm .....
  2. The Giltar was a special edition. I wouldn't stuff my phone number on an Ebay auction. Just asking for trouble.
  3. I want to refurbish the bridge on my '82 SB but i'm unsure where to look or what sizes / threads the bits are. I need the 8 tiny bridge saddle height adjustment allen screws, 4 springs, 4 intonation adjustment screws, and bridge mount screws. Does anyone know the necessary gauges/ thread sizes i'm after. Also where to track them down ? Thanks a mill PS - i dont need originals. Anything will do as long as its the right sizes
  4. Guthrie Govan has many many Youtube demos outside of the band. He's also played with many many musicians over the years https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J503OvHWKko https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1-O-juptmY One of my faves is his demo on a Vigier fretless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yshLWYjMijo
  5. Yup, silicone worked very nicely for me.
  6. I know it's too late but Stevie's suggestion of plumbing pipe was pretty close. It;s actually ducting pipe to be precise, and although correct that there's no lip like a dedicated bass port off the shelf, it can be sorted. Screwfix sell 100mm manrose pipe, and they also sell a 100mm joiner. Just cut the joiner off below the lip, and silicone seal that into the pipe and you have a lip. I did this in my DIY build
  7. They're not splits, it's just the form of the headstock.
  8. Ban everything and then the easily offended will be impossible to offend. Job done , and i dont mean in the toilet
  9. Maybe another message saying these tiresome auctions has been done a zillion times already, and is about as dull and funny as a local councillor Richard Head

  14. Just for the record, i use open string and then fret that string at the 12th fret, and not the harmonic.
  15. Does anyone know of a small stand / clamp affair that would be suitable to mount KORG K25 midi conrtroller ? Its only a small 25 key job, 19.5 " x 9" I can only find huge full size keyboard stands, and they're over kill for what i need
  16. The B3 didnt have that problem. I quite like mine
  17. Vivid was a monster. Had it on CD since it came out, and still own it. An absolute keeper.
  18. Very informative description. Excellent bunch of photos
  19. Pedals only draw the milli-amps that they need. Just make sure any power supply can supply the minimum. It wont matter if the the power supply has a bigger milli-amp rating than the pedal needs. If your pedals are 9v, ( either centre neg or centre pos ) then that is the voltage and polarity that the power supply must be rated at.
  20. Stickers would be easier to get in chrome, i would assume, but stickers tend be quite thick, and you're going to have to use a lot of lacquer to hide the ages. Waterslide decals are very thin by comparison ( and easily torn ) but also the edges are easily hidden by lacquer. Not sure if waterslide decals can be made in chrome

  24. I only went to Glasto once. It was a free festival back then. Unbelievably laid back. You could amble without trauma upto the main stage ( there was only one ) watch an unknown band widdle away , wander off to one of the suspect choc cookie sellers, wander off to the beer seller, flop down on the grass, and generally float. Happy days. Once it became a paid festy, i stopped going. I also went to a couple of other free festies, one being Watchfield and the other was Windsor. Windsor was a tad more manic then Glasto, as it was a much bigger festy, but nothing like the asbo filled horror of paid festivals these days. I cant remember if Knebworth was a pay festival ... anyone ? I was at the Floyd one
  25. Yup, it's a 34 " String spacing is around the 17mm area. My digital caliper battery decided to die, so i may be a .5 mm out Strings over the DP120 poles is bang on. Strings over the Bassbucker poles is a tad out but its only a tad. Basically, if that Bassbucker was a bit nearer the bridge, it would be bang on, because the poles on both pups are the same distance apart. So the reason they're not bang on for the Bassbucker is because, of course, that the string spacing narrows as we get towards the neck.
