  1. For sure, there's at least 2 couriers here now who can do a good job. Being able to speak to the main man is a whopping bonus. These people are not yer average parcel booters. They take care, which is paramount
  2. I think when i messaged you for a contact, it was Stuart who's number you gave me, Walshy. It was on answer , so left a message and never heard back. Now we know why It was to send a commission sale on my Taylor 12 to a shop, and called the shop to say i was having trouble with a courier, and it was the shop who recommended Lenspeed
  3. Yes it was me. The Courier is Lenspeed. When you call you get the boss. Great service. No need for hard cases or cardboard boxes. Just a padded case will do. They specialise in music equipment, including valve amps and also delicate antiques. Last time i used them was 3 weeks ago and it was £55 for my bass. Call Lenny on 07834 320 015. I've now used them 3 times. https://lenspeedlogistics.com/ I tried Walshy's man and he never returned my call.
  4. Yes, burn the witchy Ibanez. Or, upcycle it into a pallet ??
  5. It's catching innit, this guitar thingy. Scored this lovely 80's Aria Pro II GT-3 HSS recently.
  6. Live those dreams - Scheme those schemes - hit me hit me hit me hit me hit me with those Custard Creams. Good ole Frankie GTH Massage In A Brothel ... you know Mullet Too Tight To Mention - ole ginger nut himself
  7. Pal No 1 : " Hey who's that on bass ? " Pal No.2 : " Thats fleabag " Pal No.1 : " Wow, he's friggin ' awesome. Why isnt he rich and famous ? "
  8. I was just thinking my apartment entry buzzer speaker has more xmax than that driver 🤓
  9. Not really with some of the early musicians. Hensley and Kerslake both died in 2020, and Byron died very young in 1985 at 38 New Zealander basser Gary Thain who replaced Mark Clarke in '72, died even younger in 1975 at 27. Mick Box of the classic line up ( Thain, Box, Hensley, Byron, Kerslake ) is still going though
  10. Gary Thain going some on Jazz Bass
  11. Actually, the bass line on Lorraine is pretty awesome IMO
  12. As a teenager myself a few hundred years back, i had The Magicians Birthday by Heep, and if you have a listen, there maybe some hot bass lines on that too. I cant remember anymore, been too long but it was a hell of an album. Hensley who was a brilliant writer , composed 99% of the tracks. It was slated a bit by the press, against albums like Look at Yourself, and Demons, but i love Byrons vocal and Boxs' guitar work on that discette
  13. Indeed, but i couldnt be bothered to actually name every demographic he's targetted. Everyone knows already so i didnt really need to. I hope you havent been unfair and forgotten anyone
  14. Isnt he too busy ripping off hard working amateur musicians to be reading this thread ?
  15. I knew it ! Please keep details and let us all know. I dont have an oar in the water re this Mason to$$er, but i am chomping at the bit to hear the tw@t has finally met the wong ( right ) person.
  16. Marvellous ! 12mm may well be strong enough if it's hardwood ply One thing i kept saying earlier, was that i wasnt going to use vinyl or any covering because of getting the amp back in the combo, but it's not the amp that'll be covered, it's the DIY sleeve ! What a muppet
  17. This makes a lot of sense chaps ! Thanks
  18. Thats pretty much my plan right there. No vinyl or such as it has to be stuck down, and then getting the head back in the combo would be a right trauma. Varnish only Currently have a stock of Titebond and plenty of screws. I may need some ...are they called coach bolts ?.... to mount the amp from the top as it were mounted in the combo. 4 big round headed bolts, possibly allen head.
  19. Not a good enough carpenter to go that route.
  20. I wonder if it was an AH series - I.E. one TE 's stand alone heads. Unless someone cut the slotted end plates off a combo head, drilled the sides for attaching " ears " for a rack mount ?
