1. I suggest you save that guy on ebay. He take a guitar and (if you pardon the expression) makes luthier love to them. He restores them and sets them up perfect. Plus, they are all so cheap!
2. mdphilips1956 (ebay username) is selling a rather sw*** and very reasonably priced Cort on the bay of e at the moment. Its rather nice.
3. Oh dear lord, look at those pickups! It is quite mixed in it's styling. I bet Sir Milard wouldn't have said no to that.
4. How far can you actually see with your right ear?
5. I join in 2008 and I have posted about 35 times. I don't think that should disqualify me from selling. I would agree if the the for sale section was saturated in dodgy looking posts, but i don't think it is. I sold a Spector recently and stuck around more than I used to and I am really enjoying it here. I visit regularly each day. Yesterday, I bought a Warwick from a member here. I agree that it would weed out some of the chaff, but post count cannot be easily correlated with reliability as a seller.
6. And most importantly, my ears still hurt.
7. Having a bit of a practice 14 years ago with my first bass. (I still have it).
8. 15. Now my ear hurt. Huzzah! There a few apps for ios devices that do hearing tests. I have tired uHear before and i remember it being quite involved and interesting to do.
9. So your using the b string as your lower c? Are they flats? Cheers
10. Hi, having absorbed general advice on strings, I am still after some answers. I am after strings that are suitable for down tuning like the DR DDT's, but that are flatwound/grounwound or nylon wound. I play long scale 4 string in CGCF and currently I am using Fender nylons on my Peavey Cirrus. They suit me well and do the job, but I am expecting an addition to the family and want to try something even nicer. What is the most ideal string for my requirements?
11. I could well do with something for my mid 90's Laney head. I am too thick to think of something amusing though.
12. Jeebers Evil, it's a good job I REALLY want that Warwick off you. Not that I show interest in products I am not serious about buying.
13. There is an unwritten law. Alan Parsons Project: Sirius.
14. I sold my Spector to Russ a few weeks ago and he was a pleasure to deal with. No problems what so ever!
15. The chap in the shop said it was £1800, the one you sampled and yeah, he mention the fiver. Isn't 1800 a bit steep? Mind you, the ray64 was 599, which is cheaper than a quick google shopping search will throw up. I tried the Fender Aerodyne that was in the window. Looks gorgeous, but my god, the tone and volume controls are at war with each other. the E was really farty and I spend most of the time adjusting the thing. Still, very pretty.
16. I went into sounds live today to demo one and they said that you had just been in to test one. damn it. I tired the natural stingray and the ray34 in black. I found it very hard to tell the difference. are the pickups the same?
