  1. Probably our last practice at Studio 91 near Newbury as sadly it's to shut down in January. Played through this supplied Orange head for the first time and it just sounded beautiful using Squier Pj-555. After we were done I tried to lift it.....😩
  2. Colin Hay at Union Chapel Islington. Popped into Hope and Anchor pub before the gig which for anyone who doesn't know is just a short walk from the chapel. I'd not been in there or to Union Chapel before and both were well worth the visit. Book pre show meal which also allowed entrance to the venue 30 minutes before the official opening time. I'd recommend this if available as we got to pick our seats before the rush and the pre show meal ticket is free with no obligation to buy a meal. Support from Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket) who I'd never heard of was excellent. Overheard a conversation behind me "Colin supported us for 39 shows and we came out and watched his whole set every night" Colin Hay arrives on stage, I've been a big MAW fan but was the first time I'd seen him live.......he was just superb. Back to Hope and Anchor for a beer and a little internet search revealed matey behind me was Ed Robertson (Barenaked Ladies)...he's got good taste.
  3. Free - Trouble On Double Time
  4. Thanks HeadlessBassist, I've not heard of either performer but cd purchased👍
  5. I love the Lehle p split...very handy, not cheap and I have nothing to compare against but no complaints.
  6. Colin Hay at Union Chapel London, not been there before. Not as MAW but his acoustic show....can't wait.
  7. Counting Crows - Recovering The Satellites
  8. Nice footage of 6 Denmark St. interesting for pistol fans.
  9. Off go Warped Vinyl and Jive to make way for Super Vintage with relocation of compressor (away from power ISO 5 as I was getting slight noise) whilst 3@1 is now landscape so I can switch using my feet....no more bending down. Black Panel now going through SV cab sim...I likey.
  10. Had a practice Tuesday evening with the covers band. Went through four new songs that may make the setlist hopefully. Pink Floyd Money, Jackson Browne Dr My Eyes, David Bowie Space Oddity and The Who Won't Get Fooled Again....really enjoyed them and all sounding pretty good for a first attempt. Played through a bassrig super vintage with my BB2000 and got a pretty good Entwhistle sound, I was going for the isolated Shepperton sound. Eb3 for JB and Bowie numbers. We're a long way off playing these out but a good start.
  11. Can anyone tell me if I can use the pictured boss adapter with a bassrig. OE suggest only using a regulated power supply and I have no idea what this is. I use a voodoo lab ISO 5 to power my board but I may want to run one of my bassrigs on its own. The adapter is 9v and 500mA and I think the bassrigs current draw is 150mA
  12. Just bought Ian's OE Bassrig Super Vintage. Arrived in perfect condition within two days. Great communication throughout. Buy with confidence. Many thanks.
  13. Clint....that's the sort of information I need to hunt one down....my misses won't thank you, but I do.
  14. Can anyone point me in the direction of Father John Misty's performance...I've been on the look out all over the place and can't find anything.
  15. Well I never knew HF was Kim Wilde's son.... Wunderhorse's bassist's father is Biff Byford.
