It's great to play, it's a '74 so the neck pick up is position is a bit further back from the neck and gets some lovely tones. I'd recommend having a go on one if ya can.

Does anyone else use different strings on their various basses?

I banged some flats onto my 1999 fender p around a year ago....the best it's ever sounded imo.... Often wondered what a bb2000 would be like with flats anyone tried? -

Added some Barefoot Buttons last week, should have done this a long time ago, excellent comfort for at home whilst in socks and so much easier to select at practice and gig situation. I'm having to have a go at backing vocals whilst switching and was struggling at times. At home practice I tended to switch pedals by hand or have to put me trainers on, SWMBO was never happy about that 😆

I use this daily and have had no problems... if I remember it was about £120 and I feel its paid for itself many times over in the last 8 months.

Nice to see the cream bass with the maple fretboard is back, I love the look of that. I see he's been playing a surf green one lately. Must have been great to hear the rehearsal.

The neck on this one felt great to me. Just having a little play, I found the e string buzzed a bit past down the dusty end but apart from that it was very good imo. Not bad considering it hadn't been out of its case for a number of years. I last played it supposedly in the 90's and mateys not been in another band since then so I'm guessing it's not been out much. I didn't think I need another bass.....now I'm not so sure.

Had a little jam around an old band mates house some months ago, ended up a bit drunk then left my specs there. Popped over to collect them today and whilst having a cuppa me mate say's "I've a bass upstairs that you used to gig with...I'll just go bring it down" Next he hands me this 1974.... but I can't remember ever using it. He is adamant I did. Unfortunately I didn't have time to play through an amp but will return to have a blast with it soon.
