1. Christ I love matamp. Really gotta start saving.
2. Cheers JPJ - I'm definitely keeping the ampeg cab now.
3. I sold a bass to grant, he was really great to talk to, it was a swift and easy transaction and i'd happily take him out for a pint any time. Great guy and really trustworthy.
4. I've tried the Bass Tubescreamer as well as the BB9 (Bottom Booster?) - its a pretty cool overdrive, the mix is kinda strange though as it seems that (at least the one I tried) the sound was always driven no matter where the mix was set but it DID provide a bigger variation of tone. Just as befits a tubescreamer, there it a mid hump. This could be ideal if you need a mid-heavy overdrive to cut through the mix. I was quite impressed and might give it a go this weekend. The bottom blaster is significantly cheaper and sounds pretty cool on bass, its a light-ish overdrive but despite the name, i worry that its sucking out the lowest of the lows, unfortunately without being able to try either pedal out at volume in a full band setting, I cant really advise how they stand up.
5. haha, no, just the kettle lead, i lost the one that came with it, so ill provide another, nothing major. Beedster - lovely collection there, I was really tempted with the 2nd 210AV cab but then i realised I'd have spent about £800 on a set up for my practice room and small gigs!! Also, id never get both cabs and the head in a taxi with the rest of the bands stuff. Punkjazz - I thought about using a 4ohm cab, but it'd ruin the aesthetic of the 'mini svt' for me. I just bought a second 100w valve head (for a bargain price) which i'm gonna leave at the practice space. I'm kinda tempted to keep the ampeg cab and just sell the head but really I want to sell the whole thing.
6.
i'll swap ;p
dude, No idea how tempted for a trade (The Dynatone looks great), but I *MIGHT* actually be able to BUY your head (for use at my practice space) very shortly. So then I'd have two 100w valve amps, one for gigs where i leave the house directly and one if I can get the lads to stick it in a taxi from the practice place in london. FYI i've got Happy Jack's 45w 60's dynatone Eminent sitting around doing nothing! Gimmie a few minutes, ill drop u a PM with some valve porn, coz I know you love it.
7. Sorry Mark, PHAT PHUCK SOLD
8. Far from a longshot Mark!! its a really great offer (I had an Echobox for a bit and it was great) but i am specifically looking for the MXR, sorry buddy. I dont need any more fuzz just yet (Got a Pickle Pie B and a Sovtek 'tall font' green Big Muff). I guess the only thing other than the MXR Carbon Copy I *might* actually trade for is the W&C Tall Font Russian as its meant to be better than the sovtek, smaller and runs off 9v power supply and its got True Bypass (Sovtek has a sucky bypass). That was I could keep it for studio work. My M9 covers so much but more and more im finding some individual stomp boxes sounding better to my ears (I've never been wowed by the M9s delays, even with all the bells and whistles, but the first time I played with the MXR in years and instantly I was back in love with real analog delays). Even then, its still worth if for the Compressor (which is always on) and the other features which I coulld use (tap tempo on most time-based effects, expression controls on everything, looper, tuner). I also plan on getting the Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus when its out and a B3k Overdrive
9. hehe, im waiting for the day when i'd need a 400w valve amp. The Simms-Watts hasnt even seen a gig yet! Rhino is up for sale.
10. Well the only thing im actually looking for is a MXR Carbon Copy, I used to own one and tried one again at the weekend and forgot how warm and reverb-like the repeats were. If you're still interrested in my Dynacord, and you wanted one or both of these, there could be a combined trade value thing. depends on what you've got. Also, I forgot that im gonna put my Green Rhino up for sale.
11. Mad Professor Forest Green Compressor - SOLD Way Huge Green Rhino Overdrive - SOLD Wren&Cuff Phat Phuck B (Germanium Bass Boost) - SOLD
12. dont do this to me! I sold my lightweight markbass LMII when I wanted to get tubier, I've currently got an Ampeg Micro VR head and the matching 210 cab, I want the LB30 to replace the head. I think that it might be too little power for you though. The VR sounds great but its only 150w with the single 210. I've got a 45w 1960s Dynacord valve amp which sounds awesome but I dont really want to gig with it cos its so old. I've got a Epi Valve Jr head thats just not powerful enough for anything more than home practice and doesnt bring the bass like a real bass amp. I get paid on teh 28th, but even then I wont be able to do this, unless you want some FX in part-X? No worries if you dont. The Ampeg 210AV is great, light and small but it is an 8ohm cab that only handles 200w but if you're interrested, let me know as i bought it new and still have the box etc! I'd ideally like to use the LB30 wiith super sensitive cab and get the most volume I can out of it for practice and small gigs and use my 100w Simms Watts PA head beast for the big gigs.
13. I bought this off Happy Jack a few months ago: 1960s, 45w all valve sounds sexy as hell. Could do with a clean and comes with a whole range of leads and bits to make it work with modern gear. Designed NOT to distort but still sounds rich and warm. If you're interrested, drop me a PM and we'll speak more.
14. jeez, this is a beaut, i'd take it if I didnt have a Simms-Watts 100w PA head taking up space in my livingroom (and if i had the cash)
15. Hey Bozzie, You looking for trades in anything? I'd love to take this off you but ive got no cash at the moment Theo
16. Holy Cr@p i'd eat this right up if i had £450. I've got both a deluxe USA Jazz and a 1986 MIJ P (with jazz bridge pickup) that im almost tempted to offer in trade but I wont because I NEED them and i've already got a 100W valve amp - although this looks smaller, lighter and cooler. Super jealous and definitely need some money to buy this.
17. Sorry buddy, litterally just sold the lot. Cheers
18. bump - back up for sale at a new price
19. Bump: Back for sale, knocked £50 off the price. The pickup alone costs £80!
20. my god, what the hell is this still doing here? Jeez, If I wasnt just trying to sell everything i can to get a bulk order from wren&cuff then i'd probably be on this. Free bump
21. Sorry everyone, I'm going to withdraw this amp from sale. I like the idea of a vertical 410 halfstack so im gonna get another 210av cab in the future. thanks Theo
