That said I really like the new SPM-02 3 bands preamp, to me the best he has ever made, but my ears are not yours. I found that the Aguilar OBP-3 was also a very good preamp, colouring the sound of course, but in a good manner, I mean to bass players taste. But don't go too far as it will sound too much compressed.

The ShuttleMax has more low mids when the Streamliner is more scooped in the mids around 1 KHz (a typical American sound à la Bose, which I don't like at all as it's missing the most important part of the spectrum) and, as I always say, go and make a real full test of your ears by a specialist : you'll be amazed by the results ! To me, there is a big difference between the two.

Can't wait for the better pictures. I'm very glad that this sphinx was born again, it truly deserves it. By the way, the frets are made out of inox (harder than hard) and were dressed before the accident, so this Bajadera is really like new now. Good to know that it's in your hands, Russ.
