So for sale or trade (preferably for a Leduc 6 strings fretless bass, or fretted, a Leduc U-Bass 6 strings fretless would be perfect) : CELINDER Custom 6 Michael Andersen model ! A real piece of history made in 1994, played a lot and with lot of wear and finish dings, but what a growl : you won't believe it... Versatile bass that cuts through the mix and what a growl !!! Will come with a semi-rigid case. Non smoking environment as usual. The bass has been fully set up professionally by Christophe LEDUC (differential fret dressing done), the trussrod is fully working and the bass has a new battery as well as a new output jack. What you see is what you get ! Look at the pictures to see the real condition : not pristine at all as it’s been used but not abused but fully working, all original and from 5/1/1994 !!!     It's an 80's Japanese cheap Fender bass and not one of the best ever made, close to real crap and worth 250 GBP... Some people are really looking for fools !

    And the bass has been fully set up by Christophe LEDUC including a slight fingerboard differential dressing to make it perfect again, so the action can be very very very low (Yes, it used to be mine just before it moved to Pawel).

    Talking about Windham Hill records, what about this. He is dressed like sh*t, not really on the beauty side, takes 3 minutes to tune his bass when I saw a kora player doing this within a minute with 32 strings, but this is great music, composition and playing. Does anybody complain about him and am I sexist or anything stupid with what I wrote ? I don't think so and I do like him a lot. Maybe now I'm a fagot according to some of the sexist league ?     Best purchase : AER BassCube, simply the best amp to my ears and needs. Best surprise : LeFay Herr Schwarz 5 strings fretted, never had such an ergonomic and so well sounding passive bass, would be my best purchase if it were a 6 strings. Best value : MTD 635-24 Fretless, terrific fretless. Best discovery : I love 6 strings basses with 36 inches scale. Worst purchase : an 8 EBS pedals pedalboard that I got this Saturday, it's not bad at all, but I really have no use for this, will be for sale very soon.

    I really like these mathematical compositions, but she could have gone a bit further into that style and go to the Michael Nyman approach to avoid the repetitive pattern playing. That said, I like it a lot. But what happened to her left leg?

I know that American speaking people use the word "pomele" or "pommelé" for "burl", but this is not correct. The burl wood is not a soft wood at all. Here is what Eric Sloane says about it in his book "A Museum of Early American Tools" : "Burl wood is very hard to work with hand tools or on a lathe because its grain is twisted and interlocked, causing it to chip and shatter unpredictably. This "wild grain" makes burl wood extremely dense and resistant to splitting, which made it valued for bowls, mallets, mauls and "beetles" or "beadles" for hammering chisels and driving wooden pegs."

    Please stop this typical forum war, it's stupid. Some people don't know anything about (foreign) luthiers and their names and work. Sander De Gier is a real good one : his instruments emerge only after a real deep thinking. He is a fan of the Thunderbird and wanted to make an hommage, nothing else, but he also wanted to correct the defaults of this bass because he also is a bass player. He did a terrific work and to me that's worth mentioning. If I mention another luthier's name like Christophe Leduc, I'm quite sure quite nobody knows him in the UK, but he is a major actor on the market being considered a true master by his fellow luthiers and having lots of patents for his instruments. Shall I mention Reiner and Meik Dobbratz, sure quite nobody knows them but they are making the best ergonomic basses called LeFay. And I can go on forever... It's not because you don't know a luthier that he is completely unknown, just think about that. For the 2015 Thunderbird I mentioned earlier, it was Gibson attempt to make a better one on every aspect, but it's a real disaster to me : https://www.musicstore.de/en_GB/GBP/Gibson-Thunderbird-Bass-2015-VS-Vintage-Sunburst/art-BAS0007626-000 I would really prefer paying the same amount for the Lowlander than any Gibson 2015 Thunderbird or any other especially vintage ones (but it's another debate). I had a De Gier Elevation 6 which was close to perfection, but it's previous owner wanted it back so much that it finally returned to him, but I'm missing it...
