  1. And you have to use the side mounted output jack to have acces to all the preamp features. The front mounted will give you the bridge pickup only or the pickups after the selector (switch), straight out without any other control. Both have been seen on these early Vigier's.
  2. Fever ?!?
  3. Indeed, very smart idea. I'll use this trick instead of a small square file next time I need to remove some glue residues or any asperity in the nut channel.
  4. South of it on the North side of the railway going West near the far East Borgo's pass in the middle of somewhere.
  5. Don't get me wrong, I love Mark King and the way he plays bass being it slap or fingerstyle (where he's a true master, remember that he's a Jaco fan and Level 42 was originally intended to be a fusion band without any songs, but titles or tunes if you prefer, as there were no lyrics). To me the best bass for slap has always been the Jazz Bass, but his signature model seems to have all wrong. Some instruments are a disaster and this is one.
  6. I guess some of you have seen my for sale ads : they are more than complete. And I always get questions about things that are in the ad. No matter what or how you do it, people are too lazy to read, especially a long text or ad or anything obvious.
  7. And what if they were smoking communist cigarettes while walking (dead) in Pripyat under the raditions ?
  8. Lead it be !
  9. Was about to say that @AndyTravis... And that may explain a lot of things as it's not really a Fender, but more an assembly of not the best pieces Fender had. Looks like a kind of joke and a rush needed endorsement. I had the opportunity to play one thanks to a friend of mine who is a Mark King (almost diehard) fan, but he came to his senses and didn't buy it eventually (maybe because of me telling him it was a real crap bass).
  10. Eventually not such a good idea as lead would protect them against radiations.
  11. I used to own the Nexus Gom Jabbar Magellan Fretless 6. http://www.nexus-guitars.com/old/bmgom-mag.html
  12. Maybe, but are we chain reacting is the question ?
  13. Check Hal Leonard huge catalogue. https://www.halleonard.com/menu/502/bass-play-along-series?seriesfeature=BSPLA&subsiteid=7&dt=item#products
  14. You misread what I wrote, I was talking about the natural over aging of wood or anything organic due to the humidity and temperature, and the danger of the swamps is their fauna. 😉 It's was an affirmation of this :
  15. Monk Montgomery, the first ever electric bass player, used his thumb and was originally a double bass player. James Jamerson used his index only ( aka The Hook) and was also a former double bass player. Carol Kaye, the most recorded artist ever, play with a pick (plectrum) and was a jazz guitar player when she started electric bass. That said Jack Bruce was a graduated classical cellist, not a double bass player. 😉
  16. Ah, the human being quest for eternity...
  17. Indeed Louisiana is already known for this and it's much safer, if you don't go in the swamps...
  18. That is the correct definition as a bolt is an assembly...
  19. I don't know, but it's good for fusion, for sure...
  20. This is the most stupid thing men can do for money. https://strixinstruments.com/pripyat-pianos/
  21. These are excellent basses as I wrote earlier in another thread. And this one is beautiful too. GLWYS
  22. A friend of mine told it to me yesterday when it was announced, couldn't believe it. Now it is totally confirmed. May he rest in peace. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2021/10/29/in-memoriam-bill-conklin/
  23. @michele, it's not you, it's the stupid Apple heic proprietary format you're using. 😉 Use jpeg and everything will be fine.
  24. Or has a habit of buying bad instruments... Wait a minute, he bought some from me. Erm, erm, Jack is really the most discerning person when it comes to buying excellent instruments. 😇
