  1. Got involved in this with a few friends for charity few weeks back. Apologies if seen already as so many involved and no doubt friends of friends on Basschat. Several bass players so just covered 2nd verse and chorus. Kept simple to let the vocals breath. Also my son on guitar for second chorus which was a nice touch.
  2. One of my first basses was a lefty Watkins Rapier, similar to these. Knew little about basses at the time. Purchased from a shop in Shaftesbury Avenue in the 70's but soon realised the neck was warped beyond help.
  3. Watched both as well. I think as we get older we appreciate natural talent more, even if not your thing.
  4. I got this 30" earlier this year. Only did 2 gigs with it before gigs disappeared plus a little home recording.
  5. Lovely looking bass.
  6. Phil on drums looks a little concerned :)
  7. Ascape was so convienient for a lot of people I know. Surely leaves a gap for someone to set up another decent rehearsal/recording facility in Bromley.
  8. Hi, yes I think I had some confusion in message over meeting at Victoria. Drop me a PM.
  9. Poppadoms got down hill lol
  10. Always had family in Bromley so made sense to settle here. Live just off Tylney Rd.
  11. Reduced to £230 incl postage
  12. Whats the band Paul on the 31st?
  13. Fellow Bromley resident here. Is this Richard, soon to be playing in Holmesdale Rd?
  14. If my Sire goes I may be tempted to buy this back if funds allow.
  15. My other bass is a Maruszczyk but I only need one 5 string, hence the sale. My son purchased the 4 string version of this Sire, was so impressed i went for the lefty 5. Lot of bass for the money.
  16. It's got your name all over it lol🤣
  17. Hi All, My Marcus Miller Sire M2 is available for sale, no trades. In great condition. Lightweight, at a guess no more than 8 lbs. 35" scale. No neck dive. Check the below link for specifications. £250 £230 includes UK postage. I've owned this bass for a year and it's seen the odd gig from London Corporate jobs to Butlins Soul weekenders. I've put the original strings back on as slightly more life than the ones I was using. Note those are reflections on the body, not marks. https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-guitars/sire-version-2-left-handed-marcus-miller-m2-5-string-in-transparent-blue
  18. Yes this is my old (but as new) bass. Gigged a few times and well looked after. I may have considered buying this back but I ordered a short scale 5 string as planned. Graham is a top bloke to deal with and this bass is a pleasure to play and sounds fabulous.
  19. Sire M2 Gen 2 is very light. I have a 5 string (blue with maple f/b). My son has the same but 4 string version. Around 7lbs I'd say. No neck dive which can often come with lighter/smaller bodies and at under £300 for the 4 it's a great bass for the price.
  20. You know you want lol
  21. Hi All, Tricky one this. I'm absolutely loving my SWB Pro. 18v version so no lacking of volume. Great from rock to slap. The short scale really works for me but most of my gigs for the forceable future are requiring a low B. I occasionally take out my Sire 5 which I also enjoy playing but short scale is the way forward for me. So it's with reluctance I'm seeing if there's any interest in this before I order a 30" 5 from a certain Polish maker, or similar. It's only a few months old with no marks and works perfectly. Used on about 15/20 gigs. Pics are from gigs, the non truss logo pic from this Saturday gone (I was trying this for the look). £600 is firm or £575 cash on collection. Will be shipped in original box.
  22. Price drop to £315.00 including postage or £300 cash on collection. If it doesn't sell at this price then will keep it, so please, no offers as a bargain for such an amp.
  23. Lovely bass. I remember trying the exact same bass in Rockbottom of Croydon years ago. Kinda regretted not buying it. If this was all fretted from factory would have it. GLWS.
