  1. Isn’t the answer to this , try both and go with what sounds best?
  2. If you can pick up a decent one second hand, in budget, you really can’t go wrong with the Musicman Subs. The 5-strings are about £400 new, which is bonkers IMHO. They are just so good for that price.
  3. I am not going to be much help, but I do have the Oli Riedel signature and although the bass is hardcore aged, I couldn’t tell what makes it ‘special’ hardcore aged. When I bought it, the website used to state that hardcore aged didn’t get the thermo treatment, but they don’t show that on the website anymore. Maybe email and ask, Sandberg are usually pretty quick to come back. What I can add is the bass plays and sounds excellent, and it feels a quality instrument. I doubt I’d even notice if it had had thermo or not. Oli Riedel’s basses definitely get the thermo treatment on stage 😉. I’m not into aesthetics, but this is the best looking bass I’ve ever seen or played.
  4. They’re great. Playing drums with human 🦴 is just so cool. Have you heard Wardruna and Myrkur ? Similar vibe.
  5. I was at the 2016 London O2 gig as well and it was incredible. But trust me, if you found that mind blowing, the stadium tour will change your life. Watch the time lapse set up on YouTube. It takes around 5-6 days!
  6. Don’t fart on stage. Yes, it may be funny gassing your band mates, but the risk of a follow through is not worth it … especially if you’ve just started a 1-hour set!
  7. If you can get to see the stadium tour, do it. I’ve seen Rammstein a few times, and all have been amazing, but the stadium gig at MK was another level. I’ve got tickets for Coventry, and had Feuerzone for Belfast, but the latter got cancelled. Best live band on the planet IMHO.
  8. I just pulled my back out looking at that Trace rig. nice bass.
  9. I’ve got the Roland Bass Cube at home for practice and can’t fault it. It’s also got enough power for low volume rehearsals. Versatile, workhorse, and sounds great. My son has one of the Boss Kantana guitar amps and it is a cracking tool. If I was ever going to buy another cheap’ish, versatile, practice amp, I’d definitely consider checking out the Boss Bass Kantana amp. If you could stretch the budget, Ive really liked when I’ve heard the TE Elf combo, or the smaller Mark Bass combos, but ignore that if your budget is fixed. There’s always a ton of more expensive gear that no one needs.
  10. Did you gig / rehearse with this set up, is the Boss WL-50 pretty good, and can you supply it and charge from the CS6? thinking of getting a wireless and this looks a pretty good option .
  11. Guilty . I love Sandbergs, love Oli Riedel, love the look, so a complete no brainer for me. It’s the only signature piece of equipment I own.
  12. Tortured Demon. really young band and first support on the Evile tour. Their average age was 15, and they really meant it. I ended up buying their album and absolutely love it.
  13. I have an LM3 and love it. I have all the EQ dials at 12 o’clock, and then make tweaks according to the venue. I like the sound of the filters on their own, but in a band, I just turn them both off. I guess I like the LM3 sounding as neutral as possible. Sounds great with a Super Twin , but am sure that MB cab will pair excellent.
  14. Understood. The response was to the OP. All the Anaconda basses I played were excellent.
  15. I tried a few Anaconda basses at the BG show a few years back, and they were all quality. If you’re thinking of spending that sort of cash, you should try and play one first.
  16. Great, post it up when you finished. I have a few pedals on a Metro20 with the CS6 mounted underneath, and I’d be well interested in adding the Boss WL-50. Be good to get your feedback.
  17. There are a few BCB-60s second hand on ebay
  18. Nice set up. Is the Boss WL-50 pretty good, and can you supply it from the CS6?
  19. Oh yeah, sorry, Status Graphite, but bad communication on my part, and not what you’re after by the looks of it.
  20. When mine pulled up a manufacturing fault , they upgraded with a free replacement… the Carlsbro Cobra 90
  21. I have 2 basses, and strung one with flats last year. I practice with it quite a bit , but don’t really like the tension and am not a massive fan of the tone. Before each gig, I A and B both basses, and always end up taking the rounds.
  22. That is excellent. Gone from trying to put yourself off the Darkglass Element to buying one in 5 days. We’ve all done it 😂😂
  23. Not my actual amp, but found a photo to remind me of the nightmare. Complete fosters of stinky poo.
