1.
Take the knobs off your LS-2?
AND THE SAME TO YOU!!!!! Call me dense, but i never thought of that! ha ha The I/O seems to be getting good write-ups, may have to reach for the wallet.
2. Nice one, cheers Nik, hope it turns out ok for you.
3. Here is my offering, The first is my old one, i've since sold a couple of pedals and downsized a little bit (couldn't lift the bloody thing!). I'm thinking about losing the Gigrig, it's an awesome piece of kit, but takes up a little bit too much room. I mainly use it for peace of mind. I've had experience of link / patch cables dying mid-gig and not having enough time between songs to trouble shoot it. The 2nd photo is what i'm using at the mo, i'm trying to squeeze an input select pedal at the start of the chain too - to compensate for different input levels of my jazz and stingray etc. As i've mentioned in another thread i'm thinking about shoehorning in one of these as i clearly can't fit a tonebone in there. Please excuse the quality of the 2nd photo, it didn't look out of focus on the camera and i can't be bothered to go and re-take the photo!
4. Hi guys (and gals!) i'm looking for an input switcher / selector. I want two inputs and also i'd like to be able to adjust the levels of each input individually - i have an active and passive bass so i'd like to be able to adjust the levels so they're the same when they enter my effects chain etc. I've spotted this which seems to do the trick, but i was wondering whether anyone has any experience with it? I've already got a Boss line selector, but that doesn't quite do the job - the knobs are easily knocked on my one and sends the levels all over the place. I was thinking about getting a tonebone - price isn't the issue - but it doesn't quite fit onto my pedal board, unless i sacrifice another pedal, which is something i don't really want to do. Or, is there another similar product out on the market? Thanks in advance, Mark
5.
there were a couple of 105qs going second hand on here, I bought one but there was another going for £65ish. well worth it
Yup, i've still got a cry baby bass wah for sale here
6. This seems to be attracting surprisingly little interest! I would buy it, but i've just sold one!
7.
http://shop.cafepress.com/bass Gazillions of 'em.
WOW! i'd struggle to think of even one bass related t-shirt that i'd wear! There are hundreds there.. The "lute, i'm your father" one is genius....
8. Oooh, sooo tempted, but i've already bought my bass for this year. Worth a bump.
9. I do seem to spend more time thinking about playing bass and researching things to play on bass, rather than actually doing it. Bit stooopid really! I wouldn't have so much to moan about my lack of progress if i actually got my arse into gear and picked it up (which is sitting less than a metre away from me, and it's even plugged in!!). D'oh!
10.
i think im gunna buy a pitchblack, reverb do 'em for £50, coolio
Ha ha, me too. Anyone want to buy a TU-2?
11.
Hi, I use Best Practice , from a recommendation on another thread on here - which works well for me. However, I'm sure there are many others. Cheers
Looks good, unfortunately i'm a MAC man and can't use it. The one i use is transcribe! http://www.seventhstring.com/xscribe/screenshots.html Does the job for me! I used to use goldwave back in the day http://www.goldwave.com/
12.
I just cant imagine Queen doing that song without Freddy Mercury. cant work in my head anyway.
Freddy does do that song, the wonders of Video. Worked really well.
13.
Haha not quite the covers gig at the Dog and Duck we are used to on here. Good work my friend
I'd give my right arm to play at the dog and duck, at least i'd be playing! Well, maybe not my right arm, as i wouldn't be able to play, so maybe, er, a lock of my hair, or a toe nail.
14. My pre-gig ritual usually involves bribing my mates and family with drinks and money to get their arses onto the dancefloor in the first number and stay there!! I'm normally not too bad, but checking the handwritten set lists are all the same is always a big thing with me, i've done a gig where they were all different and the on-stage conversation / bickering between every song was cringing!
15. Last night's gig was cool. I wasn't playing though, just working! Last night of Queen's Euro tour, i'm not involved with the S. America bit. 35 (ish) shows and not once did I get bored of Bo Rhap! When i get some time I'll put some more pics up on the other thread i did with some shots of early on in the tour. Now i'm back home i'm gonna have a week or two off, not leave the house and finally get around to some serious playing and practicing. Hopefully some of my mates are free so we can get some studio time and have a proper play. I'm looking forward to taking onboard the info and help you guys have given me via a couple of other threads i've put up. Cheers.
16. Thanks to me being "requested to downscale in the home" i'm selling my Diago Tourman pedal board Check here for info: http://www.diago.co.uk/pedal-boards/pedal-...s/overview.html It's built like a tank and very durable, yet doesn't weigh a ton so it's portable too. Internal dimensions are: 1020mm x 450mm Website description is: Heavy duty catches Through bolted handle Quick release catches "Sexy" nameplate I've a bunch of velcro so i'll chuck some of that in too. I live in Forest Hill - South East London, and would prefer the buyer to collect - i'm sure you can appreciate that sending it via post could be a pain. Excuse the naff photos, my camera is playing up! Edit - Oops., price!!!! £60 or something sensible.
17. I've reposted this here, as it may be more suited to this category. Hi, I've got an Ashdown EVO II 575W head and i bought the Ashdown 2 switch footswitch to control it's "Sub/Valve" options. http://www.ashdownmusic.com/shop/Catalogue...c=Footswitches# They all work very well together, BUT, there is not status indication on the footswitch or the head which means when i need to start a song with either on / off, or want to check the status of the overdrive or octave I have to play a note to find out. Not always the convenient to do. Is there a modification to the footswitch or another footswitch on the market which would enable me to see the status of each, without having to play a note? (Also, slightly off-topic but relevant to this post, when i post a link to another webpage, how to i get it to read e.g. "here" rather than the full address as the link as above?) Thanks for any help. Mark
18. Good vid and classy lady. A far cry and definitely a long way from sLade, which i keep thinking this thread is about when i see it's title!

20.
Another pedal is ready to be released from my collection! It's a year old, in very good condition, some minor adhesive marks on the base from some velcro. Boxed and with manual. Collect or i can send it at buyer's cost. (I live in south east london - Forest Hill) £60 or sensible offer.
Right, i'm back home again after a few months away and my Wah is still for sale, sensible offers please!
21. This is my old rig. I sold it after i foolishly let a support band's bassist use it and he literally put all of the equalisers at 0 and then bypassed the graphic anyway. I then struggled with my tone for the gig and was disheartened with the situation and flogged it.
22.
+3
And so on......
