1. It's fixed! It took a few weeks but my finger is now not so painful that I can't play. However, I've now gone from a period of work being quiet to being mental-full-on so I won't have time to play until I'm back from being on tour in November. Ah well. Easy come, easy go!!!
 2.
Me too!
If I play the E at the 12th Fret on the E string, then I feel like I'm cheating on the 7th fret A string E. If I play the 2nd Fret on the D string, 7th Fret A string won't talk to me for days.
 3.
E 7th fret A string.
Me too!
 4. I only go in if I want something or to try out something specific that I've had my eye on. I'd only go into browse if I'd not been to that particular shop before, and then probably not to try anything out either, unless something really caught my attention but I think I'm quite restrained in the GAS factor and I don't usually go OOOHHHH!!! ME WANT! at something that I'd not seen before.
 5. I was given a Protection Racket hardware case a few years ago as tour swag. It's utterly indestructible and it was actually a gift from the band to all touring personnel emblazoned with the band's logo so it's quite a funky thing really. The bag itself is quite heavy as it's so strong so it's not really ideal for anything I'd use it for (I couldn't really use it as holiday luggage or going away working with), I'm not a drummer so it's not used that way and I've not really got another use for it. However, it does look pretty cool! Ha ha!
 6. I'm faster than Mark king.... At karting, I only came second in the traditional tour karting Grand Prix last year as I was beaten by the drummer after I was involved in a racing altercation with the FOH engineer (he drove into me and screwed the race up for both of us, I'm still bitter!).
 7.
I had an argument with a cricket ball two years ago, bent the tip of my LH ring finger back. I could play but had to keep it strapped up with elastoplast and couldn't bend strings with that finger. I can play unhindered now but the joint is still swolen and I've lost some movement , probably permanently. I doubt I will be missed (batting average of 3) but I have given the game up now. As soon as you can cope with it , start doing some gentle excercises to get the finger moving again.
Whilst emptying dozens of drawers yesterday i managed to find a "grip master" resistance spring thing, it could be just the job!
 8.
That sounds very nasty, I wish you and your finger well matey. A few years back I had a serious altercation with a stanley knife that I was wielding, couldn't play for a quite a while. Like you say it's horrible when you can't play.
However, on the upside I have tidied the flat, thrown out 6 bin bags of stuff we don't need anymore, spent a couple of hours each night making nice dinners and trimmed the landlady's front bush (oo-er). I've been given the gift of time!
 9. A couple of weeks ago whilst I was knocking down a wall at a friends house my finger was mangled in a sledgehammer / wall interface error. It hurts like hell and made a bit of a mess but it's mending slowly. It has left me not able to play for a bit and it certainly leaves me with a lot of time on my hands when I'm at home and not working. Hopefully it'll sort itself out soon and i'll be able to play without swearing all the time.. Fortunately I can just about still play the piano at the moment so that's taking up my time. It's horrible not being able to play when you want to!
 10.
The guy who's married to Natasha Henstridge
As in "I can feel the love in this room" / Hit me baby Darius?!
 11.
Like buses eh? Sorry bluesparky I've been quietly considering it for a while, and just decided that f*** it, only live once! It's partly my 30th birthday present to myself
No problem. Happy birthday!
 12.
Sorry bluesparky, I did have you in mind as well, guess EU got in there just in the nick of time! If you fancy a try on my new one when I get it let me know, especially if it aids you in searching for something similar.
No worries, i wouldn't have expected you to hang on to it just from one post anyway. I may just take you up on your offer!
 13. Sold, to a very happy punter. I really didn't want to see it go once I saw him trying it out. Oh well!
 14. There is a bit of interest, I'll keep you posted if anything changes. Cheers.

 16. I think the official name of it is "Blizzard Pearl"!
 17. American Fender Jazz, maple neck. Very good condition, ungigged & I’ve not even taken it to a rehearsal - This has been for pure bedroom use only! I bought it new in 2008, and according to it’s serial number & plate it was manufactured in the Corona plant, USA. There is the smallest of minor marks on the headstock (pictured) which is the only issue with the whole bass. It comes with it’s original moulded indestructible SKB hard case, Fender strap, truss rod tool, manual, allen key for the bridge adjustment & a highly attractive Fender duster, sorry, “polishing cloth”. I’m sure you all know the specs, but here they are anyway - here Collection preferable – Clapham, South London £sold

 22.
Have you looked at a Line 6 GX interface? http://line6.com/podstudiogx/ I have a GX at work and a UX2 at home. Zero latency with amp modeling, can be run standalone and dead easy to use plus they come up cheap on ebay from time to time. Ideal for home practice/recording
Yup, another thumbs up for the GX from me too. I've had one for a while and it's great.
