  1. Oh, there goes the tone of the thread lol.......... ....it’s normally something I would say so high five 🙌
  2. Cheers, I’ll give it a go. Its not that it’s too sticky, just not a smooth as my gloss necks.
  3. Yeah I understood what you was saying. I was just pointing out that I find satin to be more sticky. I do think the black 734/734 look fantastic. Much better than gloss finished basses. I used to have a TRBX505 in brown. Very similar to the 734/735 although still not as nice.
  4. Cool. I was just wondering about your question regarding the satin finish, seeing you already own that finish. I will say that I find the satin neck on my P34 to be quite sticky compared to my glossed backed Fender necks.
  5. You have a 734 in your sig?
  6. No, not at all. I totally understood what you meant. We are bass players after all........
  7. In my case being around my band mates gives me a superiority complex 😊
  8. Yep, the Q/strip didn’t even get to unpack its bags lol. Not that I don’t like the Q/Strip, its just that I really don’t see a use for it now I have the Stomp, plus the, P34 doesn’t seem to need any extra EQ to sound good. I would like to add that my very brief testing of the Stomp’s BDDI sim shows it can pass for the V1, but really doesn’t compare to my V2. Then again north does my Programable BDDI which is also based on the V1 BDDI. I do think I’ll use the Stomp’s version though. I used a V1 for many years and it was more than good enough.
  9. It’s odd but I do get nervous before a gig, but not because of messing up on stage, I’m fine once on there, but I just get nervous around strangers.
  10. Haha, i do this sort of thing all day long at work. Im very much loving the GK 800 head and cab sim. So much so that I’m tempted to use this with the band. Not sure if that would be too much as I’d be running it in to my GK MB800.
  11. Thanks Bas. Did you combine the yourself? I was just about to do that. Saved me a bit of time.
  12. Thanks. I do have those pages bookmarks but I was hoping for something that wasn’t split up like that.
  13. Right, 24 hours in and I’m getting to grips with it. Ive got a great patch for the guitar into bits in Lonely Boy. I got the whammy working well. My guitarist won’t be too happy lol. ‘Does anyone know if there is an updated list showing all the sims etc. The manual is out of date. Ive got a list of the newly added ones, but I’d lie the full list in one place if possible. Still working through this thread. Lots of good tips.
  14. Do what I do, use one anywhere you think it will sound good. Its easy enough to turn on and off.
  15. Lol, because the word 'Man' is in the OP's username, obvious really.
  16. Fluid Fish.....
  17. Cool. So are you going to use it with your live rig Bas?
  18. or Not actually a man....... keep it PC lol.
  19. Just got a Helix Stomp off John. Couldn’t have gone smoother. Great comms, and very quick to reply etc. item was more than well packaged. Wouldn’t hesitate buying from John again. Cheers mate, still owe you a beer sometime .
  20. Cheers John. I hadn’t scrolled far enough across earlier. Found it now. I got a microThumpinator earlier this year and it worked well the 2 times I used it. When I gave up using a pedal board I did miss it.
  21. Right then, here I am, finally. Just received my Stomp, thanks to @JohnR. Slowly finding my way round it. Lots to learn and remember. First of many questions. I noticed it has a Digitech whammy sim. I’m thinking this would be cool to use on the Black Keys Lonely Boy (my guitarist cant do it). How do I do this, if it’s possible? I tried putting in in a slot and assigned a foot switch to it, but can’t get the note to bend. Any help would be appreciated. Ok, second question I’ve read that there is a HPF that can be used on everything without taking a slot. Is this just the low EQ on the Global menu? If so I assume it’s just a case of setting it up low enough? Cheers.
  22. A quick Google came up with this https://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/accessories-c2/recording-c676/recording-microphones-c415/wireless-systems-c417/levys-leathers-mm4-wireless-transmitter-holder-p9398 I do in fact have one of these
  23. Dont you need food and water to keep them operating at their best 😉
  24. Err, thats not Lemon lol.
  25. Although not in the same league as all the above, my iPad has completely changed the way i learn songs at home Before i was always tied to my PC in the living room, and even though i would use headphones i would still annoy the hell out of the family with 'all that twanging'. Having all my music and YT etc available on my ipad means i can go in to any room and sit peacefully, with my bass on my right leg, and play for as long as i want without worrying about the 'twanging', and looking like a pratt lol.
