  1. Well the FX has a 9 block limit, but ill never max that out.
  2. I had to stick a NG on one of my patches on in the FX. I had to use a block.Thats another difference between the Stomp and FX. Not a big deal really.
  3. Just a heads up there is new FW for the Four/X. https://www.zoom.co.jp/products/effects-preamps/bass/b1-four-b1x-four-bass-multi-effects-processors#downloads Just 2 changes. You can now change the position of the Looper, either Pre or Post Effect. You can now see the Rhythm speed when its running. Before you just got the black dots, but now you get the same screen as when its stopped, along with the dots up in the right hand corner. That reminds me, i have a B1-Four somewhere at home.......😁
  4. For me its at the Start. I want to clean up the low end so the other pedals have a better chance, so putting it first is better. Obviously we can put another at the end if needed as well, but at the levels i play at there is no real need for another one.
  5. Same here, plus im still working out what effects work on what song, so need to be spontaneous.
  6. I cant wait to see this thread take a down turn when the price is announced 🙂
  7. I only found out i needed one earlier this year when the buzz started going around, and used it a few times before stopping. Never noticed the difference. I guess the biggest impact for me would have been using it to give my other pedals a cleaner tone to work with. Saying that, i agree that if its there, use it. Still on the fence as to what version in the Helix to use.
  8. All we need are IEM's and a HPF and we can conquer the world lol.
  9. The previous rehearsal I purposely stayed away from using amp sims, and it worked fine. Over the past 15 years ive used an amp and cab, with something in front of it. Most of the time a BDDI, so i still have my traditional rig set up (new righ, but used the same way), but with loads of new options.
  10. Yep, i could happily gig without any effects, although where's the fun in that 🙂 The FX is better laid out for live use IMO. Each effect has its name above it, easy to read and for me no need to change patches/banks. I'm quite indecisive when in comes to effects, so although his have a good idea about what I want to use and when, i like the idea that its all there ready to be used as and when. Although ive been using the Stomp in 5 footswitch mode with the external footswitch, it was difficult seeing what the two external switches were doing, as they dont light up. More so if i hit both by accident. Its also nice to get the tuner back on a switch, although i rarely use it. Its hard to describe but its all just laid out better for on the fly use.
  11. Not in my experience but maybe we are talking about different things. .
  12. Ive never paid any attention to this, so had no idea how cool it is (seems).
  13. Dont expect too much. That is a very extreme demo.
  14. Good point. Ill als add that the good thing about the Helix stuff compared to our Microthumpinator is the ability to raise the freq the cut off starts at. Although its generals used to clean up the subsonic freq its handy being able to raise it higher to help with boom and a muddy room.
  15. Yes, im talking about those two. I like to keep a HPF in the chain to keep the low end a bit clearer if the room is boomy. We rehearse in a room that has a hollow stage area so its handy, and most, if not all of our gigs are on hollow stages. With the Stomp you have it as part of the Global EQ, but with the FX you have to add a block. Both seem to do the trick but im wondering why there are two.Very little info on the Line 6 sims around. Ill let you know about the BDDI later, but in general i keep the EQ part flat, Drive on 6 and adjust the Blend to suit. Normally between 4 and 6.
  16. Gents, a question about HPF and the Helix stuff. I noticed there are two (not including the Global one) EQ effects that seem to do this. Does anyone have a preference or know of a reason to use one over the other? Just looking to tame a stage so not bothered about the LPF end.
  17. Can you load 3rd party IR’s in to the amp?
  18. Just got back from my first rehearsal with the FX. It was so much easier to use than the Stomp,, although I still kept hitting two switches at the sam time. I’ll get used to it though. Definitely the right purchase.
  19. Ah, so thats who it is. I saw this on FB as well.
  20. Nope. Your going from a 1x12 to a 3x10 to get quieter? 😎
  21. Sorry, it cant be done easily, so.........
  22. The Stomp has a really good selection of EQ's, and would allow you to set up each one for each bass, or even for each venue/bass combo, inc levels Probably over the top, but an option. Total recall every time and with the ability to send the signal to the amp, with a differently EQ'ed signal to the PA. Shame you sold it 😂
  23. Patience and time are things i dont comprehend (see my post about getting the F112 :-). All good fun messing about with things though, and with the FX you can do all the tweaking using your foot, so in real time while playing.
  24. Its too much for me, i dont know where to start. Ive got a headache just trying to chose one EQ block 😐
  25. And a huge amount of EQ adjustment.
