  1. Slow day at work, so I ended up ordering my 3rd B2-four 😂. This time it's for real. Ive tried to find something else, but nothing ticks as many boxes. Although I dont need DI out at the moment I am hoping t find a band that doesn't use amps on stage at some point.
  2. Ive not read or heard anything that's a deal breaker as fas as what it offers, but at this price (used or new) I feel the Zooms have more room to tweak. I was happy to see the Pod has the BDDI sim in it, but only one knob to adjust makes it very basic compared to the Zoom versions (and the real thing). As im really after a good BDDI sim as well as a few other effects I feel I may end up not using the one effect I want.
  3. Im still on the fence about getting another. Since i sent my second one back ive brought a Paradriver, BDDI, VTbass and Zoom MS-60B+. All had good points but just not all the right ones for me in one unit, and the high cost of the Tech21 stuff is off putting for one effect. Tempted to even try the Line6 Pod express but that seems to be the less specified of the lot. Pretty sure I'll just get another B2-four next week.
  4. I sold that lens a long time ago. In fact I had a big purge and got rid of a lot of my L lenses and FF camera. Only got the 70-300L left now.
  5. Although we don't do any REM songs, that's me in the corner 😂 I used to play here in a 4 piece and thought it was cramped, now we are back as a 6 piece and bloody hell, how did we mange it.

  6. Yeah, not something you want to be worrying about each gig. I actually had a Legacy 800 when they first came out. In fact i had 3. One had a very poor finish on the front so i sent it back, the second and 3rd had faulty switching when using a foot switch. Loved the sound and power, but couldn’t get over the poor QC that price point.
  7. I’ve seen people use other people’s photos on here in the classifieds and no one bats an eyelid. Sometimes they give a name check, other times they just copy and paste them.
  8. Ive had this happen a few time with my old GK MB800 head. it was always nerve wracking when I first turn it on at a gig. It never cut out etc, just refused to make any sound a few times on Start up. Leave it powered on for a few mins and it would be fine.
  9. its more intelligent than a lot of the FB marketplace 'buyers' 😂
  10. I loved the Stomp. I found it much easier to use than the Zoom pedals. I guess it just hit the right spot for me. Took a bit of understanding but after that i was ok with it. Going back to my comment about needing good access to tweak things away from home, a PC/Mac editor is useless to me. I’m one of those that like to get hands on and know where things are in case i need them in a hurry . In fact i never used an editor for the 2 Helix boxes i had in the past. Saying that, i had a quick play with the phone editor for the two Zoom’s I’ve had recently and quite liked how fast it was at setting patches up. For me the ability to use a phone or iPad at a gig/rehearsal is a lot more practical than taking a computer along, as we have those with us anyway. I’m pretty sure I’ll order the B2-four again this week. I like that it has more switches, and a more viewable screen. Only £70 more than the MS-60b+.
  11. With the MS-60B its access and ease of use. I like the idea of the extra switches on the +, which make it much more usable for me. I may use the B1-Four, but ive found it to sound a bit muffled, but with noise when ive used it at home (same with the MS-60B) The bottom line is, because I don't have the ability to set up a gig rig at home all my setting up and tweaking is using headphones or a small practice amp, neither are ideal, so when I get to rehearsals I need quick access to things. I don't feel either give me that compared to something like a Sansamp or something with more knobs. I know how to use both, both have been used with bands in the past, but I don feel any attraction to use them now. I did like the MS-60B+ but the black text on red screen is just annoying and hard to read. Might go back to the B2-four.
  12. Yeah. I still have the MS60b and B1-Four, but i just can’t find myself using them. I’m really should just use what i have, but as you say, things have moved on a bit and it’s nice to have better if possible.
  13. Or break the BC cardinal rule and stick with what you have, because it works 😂 Ive still got mine, but haven’t used it since I last posted (so only the once). I got it out again today and, well, yeah mine is going back as well. For me the one negative is the bloody colour scheme on screen. Very difficult to see whats going on with some of the screens. Might go back to the B2-Four, might not bother.
  14. They do a full range version as well. The standard one is supposed to have some high end missing, to simulate a cable. The WL20L is full range and doesn't have the cable simulator effect.
  15. I don't know why a lot of you guys don't just take up playing keyboards 😂
  16. I can see all the benefits of having pull up banners, the can hold all your info (which stops you getting pestered while playing), they are cheap and portable, but i can help think that halfway through a gig the band are going to try and promote weight loss pills or mindfulness courses 😂
  17. The company I work for makes pull up banners (and other types of soft signs), but ive never wanted to get one for my band. I think they look a bit too business like, as if you are at a trade show or event. We had to make a few up for a TV company recently and they wanted them made of cardboard. Very strange looking things.
  18. This isnt always the case though. I remember many negative posts about staff in the shops in Denmark street years ago, especially one particularly shop. I guess its down to the person rather than the company though.
  19. I rarely buy from shops these days, but the one time recently I made a decent sized purchase was for a RAB jacket from Cotswolds. This cost me £260. Within 6 weeks one of the seams has split, and when I took it back they said they have to send it off to RAB, first to get checked that I hadn't caused it, and then to see if it can be repaired. I felt this was unacceptable although couldn't do anything about it. It was a winter coat and I spent a good 5 weeks without it during the winter.
  20. Give it a few days and they will have a returned one for sale 😏.
  21. Yep, that's where I got mine from.
  22. Real world being 'used it'? I posted my thoughts above.
  23. You can download the manual, that has the midi implementation in it i believe.
  24. Yeah, i was really just going by the stock presets, and the BDDI on its own (which has a presence knob). I’m pretty sure it can be improved. Cheers.
  25. I must admit to being so taken with this, especially after not using my original one or B1-four in a band context. I do feel its missing a bit of top end sparkle, and that might explain why to my ears it had less hiss, but I know through a rig that wouldn't be an issue. it definitely sounded warmer than the B2-four.
