    It’s an amp. Why would you want to stomp it? Do you turn your amp on and off while playing?

    So i went with Setlist maker, and was really happy with it, but i found i couldn’t really get a layout i wanted. It’s easy enough to copy the text and put it in to Word or Pages etc, so not a big deal. I’ll only need to do this for those that want it printed out. But…i have now gone over to Band Helper. Very much the same as far as what i want, but i can use it on all my devices.

    Cheers. I use it on a daily basis at work, just doing pricing and stuff, so i know it’s capable, but i don’t actually set it up myself so I’ve not delved too deep. Been using it for a good few years for set lists but to always seems to take longer than it should to do the most simple things. I’m find with design programs like InDesign, Illustrator etc, but the Microsoft stuff still catches me out. i am blown away with what Setlist maker can do, and I’m sure I’ll make more use of its features. A big plus is that once you have added a song to a set list it gets greyed out in the main list. I can’t believe the amount of times I’ve added a song twice or more to a list 🙄

    Why say that? Thats just crap if you ask me. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean others can or even want to. So the fact that i say i dont get on with it (i still use it) means, in your eyes, i need to use paper and pen? Please go away

    Thanks for that. I’ll have a look at some point, but after an hour with Setlist Maker im blown away with it. Got my sets sorted already. In the time it took to do that i would still be trying to get Excel to output a centre justified A4 PDF 😂

    Thanks but ive just purchased Setlist Maker for Mac. I know Excel is very powerful, but i also i know i hate it with a passion lol. I even prefer Numbers to Excel. My wife is very good with Excel but i just think something more dedicate, that can also hold the song charts etc might be the way forward.

    Thanks. Thats what i have at the moment, but i really don’t get on with Excel. I find it frustrating and get very annoyed with it (and myself). I can get on with the dragging up and down etc, but it’s when im creating new lists that i really struggle with, and the fact that printing to PDF as A4 seems like near impossible. Ive spent a few years doing this and still find it frustrating.

    As above. I need to make up some set lists for the band, to be printed off. Ive been struggling with Excel/Pages (and less so with Word), but i think it will be easier with a proper app/program. The criteria is this. I want to enter all our songs, along with keys and length in to a main list/database. Then i want to be able to drag them around in to sets, and at all times i want to see the total running time of that set as i build it if that makes sense. Not looking for a song book app as such, i wont be using it live, its just for organising the lists and seeing at a glance how long they are. Would prefer Mac, but iOS is also fine. Ive seen Setlist maker on the Mac store and that seems ideal. Cheap as well. Thanks for any advice.

    Yeah, it can be turned off, but i was wondering if it was worth getting for bass. As it happens it’s irrelevant now, as i remembered i still have a BDI21, which will be perfect for the job.

    As far as i can see this is the same as the standard one, but with an EQ curve to simulate a guitar cab. i need to get one or the other for our bass player, and can get the standard one a few £ cheaper, but i like the idea of the cab sim as this is for monitoring and IEM use only. Anyone use the Red one for bass?

    The small GL.inet routers are really handy. This gets it off the floor and keeps it elevated.

    Another Opal user here. Never once let me down and very convenient for being powered from many sources. I’ve even run it off a USB power bank as an experiment. Worked for the full 4 hour rehearsal we did, although I’d not want to do that at a gig unless i had to. Im surprised at the other suggestions here being called high end or expensive. Sub £100 doesn’t seem to command those statements IME. Not that my opinion counts, but I’ve never had much luck with TP-link routers. I have 3 faulty ones in a box from the past 6 years. I’d trust them if i had to, but wouldn’t buy another.

    Not sure if it’s already been mentioned here, but Mixing station V2 beta now supports the CQ mixers. There might be more functionality there.

    Look back in this thread (or use the search). Many of us have gone for better tips like Comply or the cheaper brands for the KZ’s.

    ‘A higher level’? What on earth does that mean? Are we to assume all bands that use these will instantly play better somehow, even if using top end gear already which i assume bands like MC are already doing. That quote makes the whole thing a bit cheesy for me, i will not be equipping the band with them now 😂

    Nice one. When i (and Dawn) first tried ours, there was a noticeable different tone signature. Ive never liked the KZ’s so i was coming from others, but ive still used them a few times. We both agreed that while they are a bit quieter (not a problem at all), they are both more refined and musical. Less fatiguing over a long gig/rehearsal. Nothing that didnt take very little time to adjust to, but as you’ve noticed, easier to wear, which was the big deal for me at least.

    I too love the more visual feedback i get on my iPad. My bass player has a had it of turning his bass down (at the bass), and it’s handy to see the gain for his and all the inputs and do something about it. The Re gain feature in Mixing station is a real boon for this sort of thing. I don’t really have to worry about the FOH levels changing.

    I wanted to get one of the more expensive ones, but i liked how little power the Opal needs. To seems that the next one up and above need something more powerful like an iPad charger. Not a big deal, but all our power strips have the standard 5watt ports so it made sense to get that. i might get a larger one for home use when our current one fails.

    I use one of their routers. The Opal. Seems rock solid and fits on the bag with my XR18. I got a used one for £25 from Amazon. I’ve even used it when I’ve been away as a main router. Nice that this one runs off a usb phone charger. The more expensive ones need a bit more power.

    I stopped using my M50x’s when i got the DT 700 Pro X, but up to that time i loved the AT’s. The bass extension isnt as full in the IE400’s but the overall tone reminds me more of the M50x than anything else ive tried. To be honest the IE 100 (£79) would have been fine for me, but, well GAS is GAS and i had to at least try the next model up, and although i dont think the price difference is on par with the sonic difference, i have no regrets getting the 400’s and really do love them.
