  1. Heathen! you blasphemer i think we need a stoning
  2. If it goes any lower I’ll force you to buy it
  3. Even “from a given specific era” seems to bestow the most magical and expensive qualities these days, rare serial number or limited edition not needed. Just enough that it came off a production line in a given year having been made the cheapest way. of course, whilst time has passed the wood has become magical
  4. This. And he gives better reasons than I did. I agree with you, as Treebeard said “don’t be hasty..”
  5. Even the one person with a “use it or sell it” animus is shrugging. I’d say keep it
  6. I’d make an exception in this case, if it were me
  7. As far as I’m aware battered 60s fenders do sell. Perhaps not long from now late 80s stingrays will be equally considered to be a “nirvana”
  8. One with a deeper voice, or who types a bit harder
  9. I have a stingray clone that I’m attached to, but don’t play much as I mainly play 5 string now. I’m attached as partner bought it for me. yours is more valuable; I invite you to consider those people on here who sold 60s and 70s basses for peanuts but now wish they had not done so. correlate much? you can always sell it if you get desperate for cash but if not, rationalise it as an investment and just keep it ticking over maintenance-wise.
  10. I don’t need a precision… I don’t need a precision …. I’m happy with my sire jazz five string ….😇
  11. What about gold anodised ? nice btw
  12. You’re trying to drive your audience away? Why exactly would a bass solo help ?
  13. I do get that the relic job alone isn’t worth the extra (not least as you’re doing it deliberately) edit - I hadn’t realised that this is your battered aria that I’ve seen before
  14. You should. TBF they do put a bit of effort into relicing that you haven’t good result though
  15. No, that’s totally normal
  16. Shhh 🤫 don’t type that out loud or @rwillett will hear
  17. I don’t need this but maybe someone does
  18. You’ve probably got time to squeeze in a cruise @neepheid or two … or teaching a guitard to read 😛
  19. Yes, limiting himself to one cake at a time, just two hands, no funnel, no sink plunger
  20. You could just take up the excellent suggestion of a looper and leave he/she who would otherwise be The Chosen One to eat cake … just a thought
  21. It is - the Schaller allows fine intonation adjustments of the gut strings he will use grolsch washers on the strap buttons as it the traditional way, around these parts
  22. They have to be in on the joke …. Sorry I mis-typed… I meant “adjudicating on the fairness of the evaluation process” 👍
  23. I’m not mick. I was selling a natural 75 reissue Japanese jazz with an unusual rosewood board - in huthwaite
  24. Welcome back @Grangur we have met in real life many years ago
