Andy Fraser was not overly tall. Neither is Macca, often to be seen with short scale basses... hmm

is it just me here that really does not give a t0ss what they are arguing about? First world problem. I honestly don't know why anyone gives them oxygen ** "of publicity" of course. I'm not suggested their lives are a bit empty at all...

Surely also two to argue the merits of relic lightbulbs and three more to ask if we “really need another jazz light bulb” and how much it would for an original lightbulb design to be offered next time -
Pass the pop corn, I’m getting deja vu

I’m not naturally musical and I’m not super intelligent. You can get a reasonable grasp on most subjects given enough time and an appropriate bite sized chunk approach- 115 replies

i started with a guitar, but I just hated it. I would have picked up bass sooner, if I had had one. However I really regret not having played double bass (or ERB)

Do you consider reading music important?
Geek99 replied to greghagger's topic in Theory and Technique
To be honest my first though was “you lazy ...” but then i thought about it a bit more. Back in 2001 i wanted to get certified in java nd i struggled in motivation. In th send i booked the test to give me an end goal. Then i got out a calendar nd allocated a topic to each day, with revision days. Yes but amputation is final and there is no going back. it is a different situation Not learning to read is different because you are voluntarily passing up on a method of communication, rather than being unable to communicate- 115 replies

What good would it do if you could only communicate with your fellow English humans by sign language as opposed to communicating using a system of mutually understood words? That’s how I see reading music, you cannot share bass tab with a drummer (or indeed anything) learn it, but at a pace you can cope with. So a few key signatures, then one stave, then some rhythm symbols. Rome wasn’t built in a day, being unable to read music is having one hand tied behind your back- 115 replies
