  1. Jameson is my number 1 bass hero. If I ended one quarter as skilful as him, I’d be very happy
  2. I’ve never had that many cramps
  3. I don’t like single cut, but I quite like that to look at. Amazing work there, mister
  4. You feel walnuts ? It’s important to check yourself regularly
  5. No, they look 60s to me. @AndyTravis would probably know just by looking but as I recall 70s spacing is midway between vol2 and tone and that body isn’t built like that
  6. No, because he is a pr1ck
  7. I think actually Michael sings “... up the stairs....I’m pushing out punchlines that were never there”. I don’t have the stomach to listen to rem so I shall consult my friend who is a walking REM wiki. He was once in an induced coma and I joked that I could get him out of it by saying something negative about “Automatic for the people”
  8. I can honestly say I have never listened to Yes
  9. Maybe a delivery drone (the flying kind, not a Hermes person) could dangle it ? a strand of creeper perhaps
  10. The dinosaurs are just living in the past .... cue Tull
  11. He’s playing it with no audience, in his 70s. Give the man a break. He sounds way better than McCartney does these days
  12. At about 2:15, then he heads off behind the sofa
  13. Sure but is that country? Or is it western ? We have both kinds ... cf blues brothers in case anyone thinks it sounds familiar or (wrongly) that I’m being either clever or knowledgable 😏

    Fret wire

I wouldn’t go jumbo modern, why not vintage spec ? You don’t say what style of bass it’s going into
  15. Oh so only good for root and fifth in half time...hmmm

    Fret wire

I tried fretting once, long before youtube and I made a pigs ear of it. If I was doing it again I’d get one of those fret presses with cauls to do it evenly. i think the banjo wire comes from lee sklar’s Dingwall, he advocates the lightest touch possible IIRC
  17. My zoom fits easily in the gig bag with two cables and it runs on batteries and it has a built-in tuner ... OR .. you could lug a totally enormous amp and cabs into your car, out of your car, walk around it all night, lug it into your car .... try it my way, no fairies will die, guaranteed
  18. It’s only ever me and my zoom b2.1u into PA. ”that sounded f ucking awesome” said a Very cute redhead girl. Ampeg svt model plus a precision with nice pickups. I wouldn’t do anything else
  19. “Pass the Covid on any non absorbent surface” doesn’t sound quite right though
  20. Were you honestly expect us to jump in and steal your thunder o’ guru ?
  21. Like Covid....
  22. I’m not usually subject to sellers remorse, but in the case of my sunburst 62ri (from oldgit on here) I really miss it and regret deciding to sell.
  23. Swap the tone pot for a fender no-load pot, putting it to 10 gives you full bypass. There’s a barely-there click as it passes 9 that job looks fabulous btw. I left my bass in my car over winter which did a fabulous job of checking the paint
  24. Just do it, every single one I’ve had has been fabulous well worth the premium and like @Steve Browning I do not think us is sufficiently better to justify the extra outlay
