2. the string popping out of the slot on the A string is common on the Geddy's make sure your string is pulling down on the nut and not at the same height in other words make sure the string is far down the actual tuner wind. putting tension on the nut and puling down. there is hardly a groove on those nut's the string just sits on top.
3. Trade offers welcome. Basses , Synths etc

5. Pete purchased my Moog minitaur , money paid , deal done , the way it should be. this is why bass chat is a great place to sell equipment. thanks Pete.
6. cheapest set of Taurus in full working and superb cosmetic condition on the market.
7. Taurus mk1 Bass Pedals
8. Beedster, you are spot on with your observation with the strings not lining up with the pole piece on the pickups, this is a recent thing and to be honest it is laziness on whoever put that bass together, some say it does not matter if the string lines up or not, well i disagree i want my string right in the middle of the pole. and it is a simple thing to rectify, it should not be happening !!! full stop, and QC at Rickenbacker should be picking up on that, i emailed them myself . they are defo better now than they were 2 or 3 years ago, but i wouldn't buy one blind. I sold Paul Gray a really nice 77 maple 4001 a few months back and he was chuffed with it.
9. The good news is they have been turning out some nice Basses recently i purchased a new Ruby 2014 myself a couple of months back and it is a great playing/sounding bass zero issues so i think you should be ok. just be sure the E string is ringing like the rest of the strings that was the first thing i did when i went to buy mine no issues. Ruby is now my fav colour on the 4003 and hard to find in uk. enjoy.
10. Ok have decided to sell my Taurus mk1 *** SOLD ***
11. Moog Minitaur new in the box. moog bass sounds galore. £300 + £10 delivery. feedback http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2636720 **** SOLD****
12. Decided to keep them.
13. I am in no hurry to sell, if i sell, may just hang on to them not too many sets are fully original no repairs at all apart from contact servicing. which is done by the right guy properly. the sets used by Hackett and others are hammered, my set is in nice condition well looked after hence the high price.
14. When recording i go straight to my Lexicon 810s and i have a large monitor system 2x2x15 cabs plus a sub.
15. what is your problem mate, why does me selling taurus pedals upset you so much?? i know my facts pretty well, i have been playing this instrument for 34 years, in fact i was in conversation with Lee pomeroy the other night and he still uses his set of mk1s live. so i think he should know if he uses them or not. any way who cares the pedals will fetch good money end of.
16. we each have our choices and we have our own interest some guys guitars paying £30,000 for a 59 les paul or whatever, whether you agree or disagree the taurus has a value in the used market love it or hate it, nick beggs played Taurus 1 with hackett. lee pomeroy plays taurus 1 although his are pretty beat up. and to be honest for a 40 year old instrument they have survived pretty well.
17. I have never had any latency issues no matter what i am using including the minitaur and other synths , been using pk5s for years. I have even used them with midi interface connected to a sound card no issues.
18. Agreed woodinblack. spot on sir.
19. spectoremg , lol to be honest all the interest has come from abroad, france, norway, usa, if i wanted i could sell them right now, i wouldn't worry yourself about my particular pedals selling they will sell lol. how do you know what interest i have had from the guys on bass chat?? not everyone can afford these pedals they are going to certain type of buyer , and they are advertised elsewhere, one thing i have not had is lack of interest i can assure you of that. for your info as a minitaur owner and Taurus owner, the minitaur does a good job but the original taurus has it's own unique sound that even the T3 could not capture, i know as i have owned all three and compared them all. minitaur is ok a bit hit and miss with the editing software, but gives you the moog sound for not a lot of dosh.
20. the Taurus is only 13.5kg same weight as a synth workstation no big deal really. i have the minitaur also , nothing sounds like the Taurus mk1
