  5. It has got to go. Now down to £950 o.no. I am selling my lovely 1998 Modulus VJ 3-Tone Sunburst Jazz Bass. it has passive Bartolini pickups (which I believe were an extra cost option when new). Currently priced at $2949 on the Modulus US website, the 3-Tone Sunburst is a $200 option. I bought the bass from Molan, of this parish, in about May 2008, for a Big Band I had joined. Unfortunately I developed a hand injury and had to leave. My hand has never fully recovered and so the bass has never been used in anger. I will not be playing in a band again and so am selling off my bass gear. The bass is in very good condition and comes complete with case, case candy, Comfort Strapp and strap locks. Sale delayed and updated due to family bereavement. 6. Sold my 1x15 to Dusty at the weekend. Very nice guy, straightforward to deal with, good comms. We met up at Bluewater which kept our wives happy and it was all very painless. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks Dusty, Graham

  11. Hi Gary and welcome. Looks good. I'll try and get down and may even have a go at an 'Open Mic Night'. It's not too far to the West Sussex boarder from Reigate. Graham

  17. Welcome. Like the basses. I just got back from Zurich yesterday. Nipped over to see my daughter (I'm another ancient bass player). My first trip to Switzerland for over 40 years! I should have been before. Lovely people. Thriving jazz scene. I must take in some music next time I'm over. Graham

Bought some speaker bits and pieces from Nic. Nice, straightforward transaction with easy pick up and a fair price. A good guy to deal with. Graham
  24. I had a very similar problem a few years back. It was on my A string. I adjusted what I could but it still kept coming back from time to time, really annoying. I bought new strings and fitted them and still the problem remained. In the end I checked everything I could think of and it still kept buzzing so I swapped the D and A strings to eliminate it being a string problem. The buzz now had moved with the string. Anyone want two sets of Rotosound strings with a buzzing A? I've been told that it was quite common with Rotosounds for the core to separate from the winding! Strange that it was the A string both times. I don't use Rotosound anymore and have never had the problem again! Graham
