  2. I must admit to having been on both sides of the fence. Facts are; looks matter to some, people buy ripped jeans, a battered bass is liberating, and it’s great that all tastes are catered for. Move never owned a red bass, but I’m glad they’re available for those that do. All a matter of taste, with beauty in the eye of the beholder.
  3. I’m a big Joe Rogan podcast fan, love the style, content and resultantly; I’m a regular listener. I’ve searched for bass related podcasts, and the closest thing that’s grabbed my attention is the Scotts Bass Lesson podcasts. Though I must admit, I don’t really follow them closely, and haven’t listened to one for a long while. I’d be interested in listening to a BassChat podcast.
  4. Not bothered in the slightest, that’s the beauty in roadworn basses. Very liberating. (Though I always take extra care of the neck).
  5. I agree Lozz, but context does matter; if there were hundreds of people going for the job, you had a half hour interview slot, and they asked you to prepare a 2 hour presentation... But you’re right, if you want the job... For me... i guess my utility depends on how many people they’re auditioning, how long the slot is, and how much time it will take me to learn the tracks. When setting auditions I do take these elements into account, and am mindful not to waste people’s time. Often a second stage of auditions can help, with an increase of material for a couple of the strongest applicants. I think how mainstream the material is needs to be considered as well. Asking someone to learn original material would reduce my expectations on number of tracks to be auditioned too.
  6. Wow, I really must say that I’m firmly in the 3 songs is enough for an audition. I wouldn’t dream of asking anyone else for more than that, and I would be reluctant to spend any time preparing more than that too TBH.
  7. I must say that I’m really impressed with the commitment and dedication the community continues to show in supporting this ongoing issue.
  8. I play an MTD with Buzz Fentein tuning. It really does help the intonation when playing chords further up the neck.
  9. There’s a gig available in Kent for the right kind of band at a local pub venue... (Double booked, so looking for some help if anyone can). PM for details...
  10. Damn it... If only my headstock was colour matched...! maybe next time. GLWTS, great kit at a great price.
  11. All PM’s replies, thank you. Open to part trades with 5 string 35” scale basses ...
  12. Knowing PJB, probably nothing at all. My thoughts would be having two C4’s create a modular system where you have greater resilience if one cab stops working.

  15. Now that is a viable solution. Well done indeed!
  16. Is there a thread for just bass tones at all?
  17. I brought a bass amp off Jack, he’s a great guy, fantastic communications, straight talking, and trustworthy. He also really helped and was very supportive over a slight hiccup. So great customer service too. An asset to BassChat for sure.
  18. This is crazy. A fantastic bass, at a super low price. MikanHannille is a top Basschatter too, takes great care of his gear, excellent comms, and a really nice guy to match. Someone is in for a fantastic deal here.
  19. These bags are great. My go to bag now, perfect for top loading and sliding basses in and out, opens full if you’ve got the space too. Actually prefer these over Mono’s. Best of luck with the sale.
