Hey Geoff! How's things mate? I love both these basses and have never had a problem letting them be good examples of the Overwater J Series. My intention when having both of these built was to get the ultimate 'players bass' that could be used in all environments and gigging situations without compromise. There are without doubt the most stable basses I have and have really enjoyed owning them. Stu
Sorry to hear about your situation Stu - things'll pick up for you, it's just a matter of time mate.
Thanks Alan! I've got a few things lined up and I'm still freelancing, but with a house renovation nearing completion money is tight.
Why not sell the fretless, use the cash to buy an amp. Get back out there and earn some cash through gigs
It would be my first choice but I'm literally trying to survive at the moment, pay the mortgage and work
Jeez mate, I know exactly how you feel. I hope things turn around for you soon. Things are bottoming out at the moment, so thats something at least.
Dude... I remember chatting with you the day I was waiting to find out....oh well... I'll be popping over to NZ to see you when the bank takes my house off me lol

Hi Guys, Anyone who knows me will appreciate how hard this is for me and if there were any other option I'd take it. Times are hard and I was recently made redundant. Although I can keep hold of these I am in the situation where they are literally my biggest assets (apart from my house) and for that reason they need to go. My paid gigs ended last year when I left a covers band and I sold my bass rig in order to fund the house and because of this I haven't played these much at all.
mmm. not sure, i think its the first run as its 34" and has the cut away next to the g string........not really sure what the difference is though.. cheers Geoff
This is a 94 if i remember TRB5F which is unusual as it has a flat finish (instead of the usual high gloss). It's not a recent 1005F. So long before TRBII series or 1005
Thats really so uncool.
Too true. Unfortunately there seems to more and more of this kind of thing going on and as we're a relatively small community it's very easy to spot this kind of thing going on (except if you're new). Recently there have been instances of blatant profiteering. And while not always seen as unethical, when done in such said small community can leave a nasty feeling amongst all. I've been on the receiving end of such activities and commend you on you're control and patience. I would like to see that everyone takes the for sale section seriously - as any funny business will come back and kick you in the ass..... I wish everyone luck in selling gear, and if you make a few quid good one.... but be aware. Stu
ul struggle to get a sale without putting a price, as people will be afraid of making offers in case they offer more than what you have in mind for it!
SOLD BTW. I've done this kind of thing before.. thanks for the advice anyway

I'm looking for interest in my Line6 Bass Pod Pro XT. I bought this a few months ago after selling my original Bass Pod with the intention of using it for gigging. I then left the band before it arrived and bought a house. Since then I've not played bass in a gigging level (a good 5 months). It has not been used. I bought it from a guy on here and he hadn't used it either. So it is as new and has sat safely in the box since I received. I'm kicking myself for thinking about selling it but I know others could benefit from this great piece of kit and it's new and I'm caught up in other things.... work and life in general. SOLD Stu

The P stands for Piezo. As far as I know they have been around for a while. The John Patitucci model would be the TRB 6JP and came originally in Amber and Charcoal Grey (IIRC). I owned a TRB 6II that's still on the forum somewhere, great basses in my opinion. Stu
Is that TRB-6 "P" for Patituchi or piezo? I'm guessing the former, as the piezo bridge models are much more recent, aren't they? Anyway, I have the bolt on TRB-6 II & these really are stunning basses. Really hope this one finds a good home. Unless someone offers me an Overwater 6 at stupid money, I'd never sell mine!
