1. 1 piece maple neck, rosewood board and most probably a Tulipwood body as it's a solid finish with Vintage body shape. Hipshot style B bridge and 1/2 inch Ultralite M/Heads It's also probably pre 2003/4 but can't be accurate from the photographs. Stu
2.
mmm. not sure, i think its the first run as its 34" and has the cut away next to the g string........not really sure what the difference is though.. cheers Geoff
This is a 94 if i remember TRB5F which is unusual as it has a flat finish (instead of the usual high gloss). It's not a recent 1005F. So long before TRBII series or 1005
3. This was originally my bass (then owned briefly by Homer) and it's a great bass, easy to play and looks great with it's dark lines.
4.
I can't order strings online from Overwater.co.uk... Anyone else finding this? I tried dropping an email to let them know about it, but that doesn't seem to be working either! I can just phone them if all else fails, but it'd be nice to know I'm not the only one finding this!
Just to let you know guys that things are changing on the web for Overwater. Strings, straps and other accessories with be available to order online again in the next few days. In the meantime phone orders through on 01228 590 591 We have a new Overwater Basses website and a new shop site on the way. If you need anything call the guys or contact me directly. Thanks Stu
5. PM me with any Overwater related questions and I'll get back to you ASAP.. That goes for anyone interested in the company. Stu
6.
Thats really so uncool.
Too true. Unfortunately there seems to more and more of this kind of thing going on and as we're a relatively small community it's very easy to spot this kind of thing going on (except if you're new). Recently there have been instances of blatant profiteering. And while not always seen as unethical, when done in such said small community can leave a nasty feeling amongst all. I've been on the receiving end of such activities and commend you on you're control and patience. I would like to see that everyone takes the for sale section seriously - as any funny business will come back and kick you in the ass..... I wish everyone luck in selling gear, and if you make a few quid good one.... but be aware. Stu
7. SOLD at the weekend but it's the first chance I've had to update it
8. Deal pending.. I'll keep this updated.
9.
Amazing piece of kit!! Very good price, this should fly out! ped
Don't I know it... but I have so little time to even think about using it. I'm still involved with bass but find myself talking about it and playing less. See below
10.
how much would delivery be on that do you think?
I'd advise around £20 depending on location Stu
11.
you certainly get interest in that, good price sorry if i sounded patronising
No mate.. you didn't I just wanted to get a feel for the item before getting carried away in my head. It's something I've wanted for ages and when I get one it's never been used.... am I a fool.... yes!
12.
ul struggle to get a sale without putting a price, as people will be afraid of making offers in case they offer more than what you have in mind for it!
SOLD BTW. I've done this kind of thing before.. thanks for the advice anyway
13. I'm looking for interest in my Line6 Bass Pod Pro XT. I bought this a few months ago after selling my original Bass Pod with the intention of using it for gigging. I then left the band before it arrived and bought a house. Since then I've not played bass in a gigging level (a good 5 months). It has not been used. I bought it from a guy on here and he hadn't used it either. So it is as new and has sat safely in the box since I received. I'm kicking myself for thinking about selling it but I know others could benefit from this great piece of kit and it's new and I'm caught up in other things.... work and life in general. SOLD Stu
14. Nice bass.... having played it. I 'know' the previous owner was sad to see it go.
15. The scale length should be 35" (nut to saddle btw), Hipshot style B bridge and UL machineheads , Kent Armstrong PU's from the picture. The pre doesn't look like one of John's (although I could be wrong) Great bass Stu
16. The P stands for Piezo. As far as I know they have been around for a while. The John Patitucci model would be the TRB 6JP and came originally in Amber and Charcoal Grey (IIRC). I owned a TRB 6II that's still on the forum somewhere, great basses in my opinion. Stu
Is that TRB-6 "P" for Patituchi or piezo? I'm guessing the former, as the piezo bridge models are much more recent, aren't they? Anyway, I have the bolt on TRB-6 II & these really are stunning basses. Really hope this one finds a good home. Unless someone offers me an Overwater 6 at stupid money, I'd never sell mine!
17. BUMPING this again. Any reasonable offer considered... still in the box. I'm still working on my house (full renovation!) and looking at the state of my hands this morning I'm not going to be playing much for a few months PM me Stu
18. Hi Matt, I use/ have used the wall hangers for both my Overwater's and have had no problems. I wouldn't worry about using them as they are well made an more than capable of holding the weight of you Progress 6. However, as you have a weighty bass I'd recommend ditching the supplied screws and depending on the version you get (mine don't have the wooden block) fit a wall plate if used on a stud wall - I used a surplus piece of mahogany. This distributes the weight across 2 or 3 studs (wooden uprights) and helps a lot if you're not that good at hitting the studs dead centre. If screwing in to brick/ stone and plaster work get the appropriate plugs, and or fixings. You have a heavy bass.... just screw it well .. ummmm Stu
19. £0000.1 then? I'd have to let you keep the 1p though
20. You wil be sold.... PM me with offers if you like.. I'm feeling generous
21. Great bass..... someone should buy this as it's wasted on Martin
22. BUMP... trades considered.
23. BUMP. Still available. Still hasn't been used....... NOW £105 posted
