1. What Ohm rating did you order? The 12 Ohm or the 4 Ohm?
2. When you say "coming to the end of its life" whadya mean?
3. When did you actually place your order BigWan?
4. Some awesome tone that the bass player got outta that Warwick thing in the "Volcano" song on it though. Monster.
5. This is one of a series of similar hoaxes. Sound engineers will generally be too professional to do anything other than try to get a genuine good sound for the venue. Whether you approve of his idea of that sound is another matter.
6.
Because you're not getting any more noticeable volume out of a 4 ohm 2x10 cab than what you would out of an 8 ohm one. If you're going to run an amp at its minimum load, then it makes sense to make sure that the cab(s) are going to make the best use of running your amp hot.
Sorry, I'm new here. I don't get this. I have an Ashdown MiBass 550 .... which puts out 550 watts at 4 Ohms - but probably only about 300 and something at 8 Ohms. So ........ surely, there will be a higher volume at any given level on the dial if it is a 4 Ohm rather than 8 Ohm? I'm interested y'see as I'm kinda slight and would like a lightweight cab ..... and any help with output would be good.
7.
Yes, there's a few companies that do, but unless you have an amp that runs at 2 ohm, then it's a bit pointless.
Why would it be pointless?
8.
Pedant You're totally right. (Damned spell auto-correct!!)
It's worse than that. It's just called "Skye" I believe.
9. WARNING: Newb silly technical question. The 1x15 Ashdown Neo says it has a frequency range of 20Hz to 9kHz. The lowest range in any Barefaced cab which my dad has is only 30Hz. Does that mean the Ashdown will sound deeper?
10. Might be good for non-amplified acoustic gigs
11. Any sign of it yet? Heard any news?
12. Come to Mummy! Although, I can't see any dimensions on their's or any of the dealer's sites. Will it fit in my RH450 gig bag? Ideally, at the same time as the RH, so that I can either dual amp or use one as a backup?
13. ......... or you could use one of these ! 15.
There are none in the wild yet... Yours truelly is due to receive the first one some time this month...
I have heard about these. Would one of these be light enough for me to carry? I'm only little. Did you get it already ........ and when you do will you be posting pictures?
