1. I reach a big 60 next year so I am already starting to spec a Recurve-4 birthday treat.
2.
or you complete the original electronics? split hamb.? thx :}
I don't have the original electronics. The bass came with the OBP-3 fitted.
3.
PM'd
Replied.
4. For Sale 2007 Spector Euro 5 LX. Like London buses; nothing for ages then two turn up in quick succession. Bought this off a fellow BCer about 12 months ago. Fitted with the Aguilar OBP-3 pre-amp. Sounds amazing. I'll be honest, I bought this on looks alone and I really am not suited to a 5-string. Excellent condition; has a couple of small cracks in the finish around the pots (shown below). Currently strung E-C but will restring B-G. Comes in Spector OHSC. Based near York. 7. Bought a Darkglass SuperSymmetry Compressor from Dave. Good, friendly communications throughout. Pedal arrived really well-packaged as described. Would happily deal with him anytime.
8. Lovely bass; had one too; traded it for a Spectorcore fretless...that stayed in its case.
9. Sold my Thunderbird Classic IV Pro to Jules. Good communication and very prompt payment. Great to deal with.
10. Close the thread, we already have a winner; that thing is fugly

SOLD

Any bass owned/played by John Giblin deserves a bump
13. Martin Turner, Wishbone Ash on their eponymous first album. Loved the twin lead guitars too but the melodic bass playing stuck in my head.
14. Anything that is used to make noise can be described as an instrument and music is, amongst other things, 'an expression of emotion'. It's all valid, sometimes it resonates and sometimes it doesn't. I try hard not to be dismissive these days but some stuff is patently not for me so I don't listen to it. It's immaterial what you make music with, it all has a place.
15. I'd ask why but see no need for you to divulge NI number unless you are a prospective employee. Are they new to the business? They may be getting confused by False Self-Employment and Onshore Employment Intermediaries Legislation of 2014.
16. Until I picked up my AV 57 re-issue I never quite understood the phenomenon. Instruments come and instruments go but this one will remain.
17. I have an Orbitsound M12 which I can heartily recommend. The room our TV is in is 15' x 12' so it probably doesn't have to work too hard. It was on offer in Curry's a year or so ago.
18. Interesting documentary on the enigma that is Tom Waits last night on BBC Four and iPlayer. Probably not a lot that afficianados don't know already but there was some great archive footage. Well worth 60 mins of your time (in my opinion, of course)
19.
Cardiacs
This I like!
20. Whenever I mention Lambchop people of a certain age immediately think of Shari Lewis and 'cute' glove puppet. A few people may have heard of 'Nixon' but 'Is A Woman' is beautiful. Dawn of the Replicants, a Galashiels band produced a few really good albums; not sure if they're still doing it. Very fond of Horslips too. Saw them in '76. Haven't heard The Tain or Aliens in ages. Anyone remember Badger? Ex-Yes keyboard Tony Kay's band.
21. Sold a pedal to Clive. Prompt payment and solid communication throughout. Good chap to deal with.
