You hear it on the radio, on youtube, your mates ... You also know that we are taking about people who systematically and illegally make music available for free when it was intended to be paid for, and about those who take advantage of such nefarious offerings.

The N-Dubz vid is fabulous, I love it! They get an awful slagging on here from time to time and some people don't realise what goes into pop music, they can think it's easy and worthless, but that is fantastic arrangement, and wonderful playing. I really enjoyed that, thank you!

Yep, I love Briwax as well. I dab some on finest grade wire wool for reconditioning fretboards and polishing frets. I leave it for about ten minutes and polish it off. It's fantastic stuff. My ebony boards on my Warwick and my classical guitar look and feel lovely now, not a trace of residue, just a nice sheen and very smooth, and it's good for the wood. I do the same thing with the ovangkol neck on the Warwick too.

On the balance of probability, I reckon you both f***ed up, and could have handled the situation better. Can't see how your rep's been unfairly damaged any more than the band's. You seem to have mostly good reports on the usual internet sites, apart from the state of your toilets, so why not leave it at that. -

I often think a lot of the general non-musician public think that what musicians do, and go through, is a lot easier and enjoyable and profitable than it actually is. Which is why I believe we musicians and our efforts are often undervalued. But does it really matter? And is it the same for everything else that is widely consumed? Sport? Food production? Pubs and restaurants? Retailing? etc ..

Seems like unprofessionalism and immaturity on both sides to me. Situations like this should never happen, and if diplomacy and consideration are not enough to resolve what seem like simple issues on this particular night, then someone is probably being an arsehole. Two stand out issues for me (if the two parties are to be believed).[list] [*]A band should NOT be moving an establishment's furniture around without their consent, very irritating and disrespectful. [*]The establishment should be treating its customers MUCH better with regard to the accommodation of their party of 16. Sounds like very poor judgement of table and seating arrangements. [/list] Also, the guitarist is well out of order for blasting an ear shattering chord in the soundcheck when an audience are there, Jesus, how amateurish. Hope that helps -

Um, whiskey will dehydrate your throat and make it worse. Go to a chemist and get some glycerine (not nitro mix it with hot water, lemon juice and a little honey. It's very good. My vocal coach recommended it and it really works.
