You see, after you took this down, my Lakkie sold. If this had been up for sale at the time I would have had it. All about timing isn't it . As it is I have had that 4004 on hold for nearly two weeks as getting to meet up with the seller has proved challenging. Bump for a stunning bass, it won't be around long Nige.
Thanks mate, had a number of good trade offers but nothing I fancy yet. If someone offered me a Fender Japan JB66 I'd probably sh*t myself. Never seen one for sale anywhere though, apart from one on ebay in the US. A JB66 has been a dream for a while now. Even before I bought the chrome.

I am after a really nice USA or Japan Fender Jazz with a low action and a very clean neck and fretboard, fit to be my No1 gigging and recording bass. So hit me for trades. I reckon on about £900 to a grand for trade value, but I'm open to negotiation.

Does Basschat influence the European s/h bass market?
xilddx replied to xilddx's topic in General Discussion
Google anything bass related and you'll find BassChat pretty high up on that list. With over 1.9M posts, we are the biggest dedicated bass forum in Europe and I'm sure we're seen as a main 'reference point' for many bass related equipment buying and price setting decisions.
Yes, I'm thinking that too. -

If I search a bass model in Google, I fairly often find old For Sale threads in the top results, that often give a sold price. I wonder if BC influences the market prices somewhat, whether this is a good thing, not so good, or whatever. I mean, Basschat is getting f***ing BIG

Fender Jazz Bass Special (original Japanese Duff McKagan)
xilddx replied to cetera's topic in Basses For Sale
My best mate has the exact same bass, he bought it new. They are delightful to play, a really lovely shallow Jazz neck with a gorgeous gloss finish. And the white sparkle body finish is ace. Good luck with the sale mate, it's worth every penny. EDIT, just realised my mate's it the Power Jazz, the active version. Pretty much the same bass though apart from the guts. -

Mayones Jabba is my first thought, but it's a BO. -
I had a think ..and decided my near perfect bass would be a J type bass ( because of the lovely slim necks..and back pick up tone) with a thru neck and 24 frets. Does anyone know of such a beast?
Why a through neck? -
Nice score Charic! Could I also be cheeky and add my band's gig this Thursday at half Moon, Putney to the cheeky advertising list. So far, Low End Bee is coming but looks like he will be rather lonely, at least as far as BCers go. Does anyone want to join him for a pint of mild and some good "gypsy Fleetwood Mac"?
Sorry I can't be there mate. Have a great show!
