  1. No worries. Btw - was a genuine question about when else you've experienced gear failure besides your Stomp, in particular anything else in the past decade since 2010? As I mentioned, I'm kinda hoping that QC may be on the up compared to what it was a few decades back.
  2. +1 ^^ the sexiest! 😎
  3. Mesa M6 - still outshines every D class head I've owned. Honourable mention to the Peavey Tour 450 I had when I started out as a newbie and well before I could appreciate the build and tonal quality it delivered.
  4. @hemdee666 - nice job! Looks like the work of the devil to me! 😁
  5. I know these guys are a bit marmite - personally I love the zany energy of their reviews! This will give an idea of what the core will deliver with the current V3 software. The wah (1.48) and the Entwistlesque drive (2.55) demo'd are good and the X drive multiband distortion also sounds promising.
  6. Ahh excellent! Yeah I found my 1025 and P35 were similarly well matched, with the P35 just edging it overall. Interestingly the gritty J on the 1025 actually works really well on the low B string in the mix. Your P34 will also be a little lighter than my former P35 which should make it super comfortable to play.
  7. @yourfurryfiend - congrats! That really does look great with the new PG! Have you had other Yammys before this, or did you decide to go straight for one of their current flagship models?
  8. Are you a fan of glam rock? 😁 How do you rate it as a headphone amp? Just wondering whether I should maybe get one of these as a off board headphone amp rather than getting a second B1-4? The B1-4 is obviously is a lot cheaper and does a bunch of other stuff...hmmm, I think I've just answered my own question, lol!
  9. There's a DG AO Ultra on the fB BPM on for £250.
  10. I totally agree with that. I guess my thinking was more that you might get charged a premium if you were specifically sourcing "2025" pups.
  11. Haha - very good!
  12. Someone more knowledgeable than me on the topic will no doubt be along in a minute, but I didn't think that the 2025 pups were any different to the 1025? IIRC key differences between the 1025 and 2025 are that the 2025 has the following "extras": - sonic wood treatment to naturally age the wood fibres to give it a played-in feel from the off; - (??) neck or fretboard oil and fret finishing; - Japan rather than Indonesia But I thought the actual components and woods were otherwise identical.
  13. Interesting thought. I think the previous discussion on this thread about upgrading the BB615 focussed on the preamp - if I recall correctly someone said they had replaced with an Aguilar OBP-3 with good results. After the sterling service it's given you, it (and you!) does deserve some treating
  14. "Although I do get the odd stare from punters who think I am dithering, or at least can't work out why I'm not using any of the other pedals..." 😁
  15. So it's now all about "appearances" for you and nothing to do with the sound you're after or the limitations of your budget? Because you want to make sure folk don't think you are being pretentious or a ditherer? Well this thread is a good place to start if you're needing inspiration on board size and content. Oh and the answer to your question is 7 😁
  16. What a great story - thanks for sharing! And definitely not too shabby for a bass that cost less than £300 new!
  17. Haha - what did I tell ya?!
  18. Yeah - that's gotta be the single big concern here for any of us regarding necks. And it's not like Lakland are a budget brand. I had the same issue a few years back on a Fender J 5 string. I know you're also a Yammy player - have the necks on the ones you have had been laminated or single piece, and I'm guessing whichever one, you've not had an issue as you've not mentioned?
  19. Enjoyed those QM - thanks for sharing. My fav was Hub 11.
  20. Great little pedal on for a very good price and I doubt it will be hanging about here for long. I've had 3 of these over the years and I must admit I'm really tempted to get this one for old times' sake, particularly for some of the effects not currently available on the current Zoom range! But I must resist... 😊
  21. If you're finding your current board is requiring you to play tetris to squeeze everything on, rather than being able to easily access and order your pedals, then the PT 2 could be just the ticket for you. Following a significant downsizing of the number of my pedals over the past couple of months, my PT2 is currently sitting unused in storage. The board itself is in very good condition - it had some holes drilled for an underboard PSU by the previous owner and I've left velcro on the top and a few gubbins on the bottom e.g. some angled wedges for easy underboard loading of my MXR PSU to access all the inputs and PSU lead and wire clips - but these can all be removed if you don't need. The Mono M80 Tour 2.0 case, on the other hand, is basically new. It provides a fantastic compromise between protection and weight. The best price of one of these new online I can find is £149 and for the board, by itself, I think would be around £80 new. So given their respective conditions - I've knocked 20% off for the mint Mono case and 40% off the board i.e.: £120 for the M80 Mono case £45 for the PT2 board Add £10 for P&P or I'd happy to meet half way within a reasonable distance of Bow E3

  22. Sadly can't open your pic - but please feel free to PM me to avoid derailing Jamie's thread!
  23. Lovely bass - and first time I've come across a sub 10lb Overwater 5er. I'll need to have a look into these hybrid basses! @threeis yours a PJ or a straight P?
  24. Hey - don't do yourself down. A bass player who can hold down a decent groove while leading on the vocals is worth his or her weight in something or other. There aren't a vast number of us who can do both! FWIW, the guitarist in question is one of the most talented young men I've had the privilege to work with. Both me and the drummer in that clip, who is still in the current line up 5 years down the line, still remember him with a lot of fondness.
  25. But you've got a decent haircut right? That does seem to have been established as being de rigeur for any musician, according to this thread anyway!
