  3. Thanks for weighing it, unfortunately I need to be sub nine pounds these days, Good luck with the sale, stunning bass
  4. I have decided to part with my 2019 Squier Bronco 30" short scale which was modified by the previous owner. He purchased it new in 2019, made the mods and then sold it on. The upgrades are as follows: New Alnico 5 '51 precision style pickup (brand unknown), full size alpha pots, N.O.S dime capacitor, Switchcraft USA jack socket Headstock refinished with a 70's decal applied, then lacquered with clear nitro-cellulose New 4 ply pickguard, new tug bar, Fender neck plate, new precision bridge Sett up is great, it has seen very limited home use, condition very good, slight marks below the bridge from a string change I presume. Happy to meet at the front gate under current circumstances or post using UPS or Parcelforce for £25 in the UK
  5. Any idea what the pickup is please?, also do you know if the electrics have been upgraded?, cheers
  6. Thank you, sadly the wrong side of 9lbs for me these days, real shame, good luck with the sale
  7. Would it be possible to get a weight on the bass please?
  8. Depending on your budget there is also the Vintage Reissued Series V4 Precision which you could mod up if you wanted. Mine weighs just 7.3 lbs and with a decent strap, no neck dive. Does the whole P sound very nicely maybe as a short term fix.
  9. +1......I have a black CV 82-84 P bass and the neck is a dream to play and so well designed, in fact the whole bass is pure quality, has a real organic feel to it.
  10. Thank you for that, sadly a bit too heavy for me, that's a real shame ☹️
  11. Placing my first ad so fingers crossed I have filled in the details correctly. Here is my Richwood 3/4 Jazz bass, 30" scale which was once owned and upgraded by Scott Whitley, who added a heavy-duty lockable bridge and an Artec preamp. The controls are Volume, Pan, Treble (cut/boost) & Bass (cut/boost). I purchased the bass initially in it's Piccolo format for a project with another bass player and as the nut had not been altered I was able to put on a sett of D'Addario ECB Flats which to my ears, sound excellent. The original Piccolo strings are included with the bass if you would like them. What can I tell you, it's active, offering great tonal options with the boost and cut (9v battery under the front control panel). It's light weight, very easy to play, no neck dive and has been really well sett up (by Scott I guess) low fast action. Condition is very good, the bass has seen very little use, one small dint below the jack plate, tiny mark above the lower strap button, small scratch by the volume pot on the plate. Scratch plate has some use marks. Strap lock buttons are fitted but the strap fixings were never there when I bought it. Here is a link to Scott using the bass: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTEkSrrdHb4 I am based in Baldock, North Hertfordshire and am happy to post at cost or your very welcome to pop by and try the bass first hand, we have a kettle and biscuits. Relatively new to the forum, have purchased a couple of basses and a case recently from members and it's great to deal with players who know their kit and are genuinely nice folks.
  12. Just taken delivery of a Matt Freeman P bass from Chris..exactly as described, really quick delivery, great communication through out and very generous of spirit. I would recommend Chris as a seller any time, he setts the right bench mark.
  13. I went to try the bass at the weekend and if it was not for the fact it was a tad too heavy for my ageing frame, I would have bought it. Top quality finish, very playable neck and the stock pickups sound amazing, highly recommended if you are after a quality 32" scale P
