1.
I did. It turns out someone had already ordered the last one. I wonder who that might have been? Still, I have my acoustic 5 string on it's way so that's all right. it just seems that every time I try and order one of the precisions (first a PJ5 and now this one) someone here beats me to it.
Ah. To be fair though, the precisions were showing as available for an hour after I ordered mine so I doubt I got the last one. Frustrating tho isnt it. I have lost out on a few as well and when they are such bargains it makes it even worse to have lost out!! There will be a next time tho
 2. Those Precisions have been up for a couple of hours and still showing as available immediately. Go on, you know you want to!
 3. I wasnt really after a P bass either. Been holding out for a PJ5 but always seem to miss them so what the hell...........a new P will do for the time being!!
 4.
DEKO Standard P-Bass http://www.thomann.d...d_seri_deko.htm 19 quid plus change. 5 string acoustic nearing selling out it would seem since 'only a small number of pieces in stock'. http://www.thomann.d...bass_s_deko.htm
OK, OK. I don't have a Precision in my life. In a few days time I hopefully will have!! Who can say no to £20?!! Not me anyway!!
 5.
Has anyone actually had a fully unplayable guitar?
My standard jazz deko was unplayable in as much as the electrics were faulty so there was no sound when plugged in. Everything else about it was great tho. New pups and pots swapped in and now it is just excellent. Really love it. Pic below
 6.
What kind of looks and comments do you get from others when they hear this or even better get to play it ?
Difficult one to answer really. Certainly the guys in my band noticed the difference when I first started using it over the Yammy. More punch and clarity. Great output from those Entwistle pups. Personally, I dont really have anything to compare it to. I havent played any other jazzes other than a very quick noodle on a Squier VM and if you remember, this bass didnt work at all when I got it due to some dodgy electrics so I never got to play it in its stock set up. I do however think it sounds fantastic. Typical growly jazz sound with both pups up full and tone wide open. Perfect for what I need it for.
 7.
Two fantastic examples there RickyV I've the other HB Jazz with the RW and blocks but it's still stock as I like the weird melted plastic look scratchplate
Mine had the plain white scratchplate which was just a bit in-your-face for my liking. Loving the black with the sunburst tho.

 12.
My shorty p bass is now Ricking Entwistle PBX pups... ;-)
Ahh. My Deko jazz has Entwistle JBX's. Quite excellent for the price arent they!

 14.
Blue Aran in Southampton - http://www.bluearan....headnew=Corners They do that style in two sizes and mine is the smaller of the two. David
Excellent. Many thanks.
 15.
I built a small 1 by 10 cab using the Eminence Neo Basslite S2010 with a volume of about 1 cu ft and a port of 12 by 1 by 7 inches (overall size 15 by 12 by 13 inches, built with 9mm ply) - it sound very good, and is in your ballpark volume-wise - Also, some other designs from Eminence - http://www.eminence....e_S2010_cab.pdf Hope this helps David
Hi David. Hope you dont mind me asking, but where did you source the corner protectors for your cab build? They look like just what I need to replace some damaged ones on an Ashdown combo. Cheers.
 16. Hi. Can I have the used ones, as a first experimentation with flatwounds? Thanks. Will PM you also.
 17. Bought a set of Ernie Ball Slinkies at the bargain price of £12 posted. Quick and easy transaction. Marvelous!! Thank-you!!
 18. Now, I quite like that blue. Funnily enough I have the satin natural wood finish 270J. Wanna swap bodies?!!
 19. I particularly like the condition description he has chosen: Manufacturer refurbished: An item that has been professionally restored to working order by a manufacturer-approved vendor. This means the product has been inspected, cleaned and repaired to meet manufacturer specifications and is in excellent condition. Words fail me!!

 21.
I gigged my deko JB-20 today and i got a funny comment from the drummer. He said: "so you're not playing bass, you're playing decoration? sounds pretty good for decoration"
Out of interest, is your JB-20 still stock or have you modded it? I modded my deko JB-20 as the electronics were shot when I got it but interested in how you think a standard JB-20 sounds?
 22. Instruction and lessons are one thing. A bit of practice in between rehearsals wouldn't go amiss with our singer! I dont think we are asking for too much there are we?!!
