  1. I've always thought of them as massive tone suckers... Every time I've tried them whether it be in store or rehearsal rooms, I've always found that no matter how I've EQ'd or what pedals run in front of it, they've always made everything sound 'smooth'. I almost didn't buy a EBMM Sterling5 because of trying through an ashdown amp. Took it suspecting the amp was the problem, plugged into my TC head and there was the tone!

  3. What a beaut! I love my Cali VTII, but sometimes I really regret not going to the MM instead of the jazz. I hope you enjoy it.
  4. Great cab and excellent price. Recently bought one myself. GLWTS
  5. Sorry Hubrad, should have stated that! I'm in South Shields near Newcastle. Happy to meet in the middle depending on distance etc...
  6. GK 2x12 cab. Does the GK thing when coupled with a GK RB head, the bi amp system is awesome! Has been used as a stand alone cab for a loud band with no P.A. support exclusively and has always had plenty of headroom without farting out. In good condition, has been well gigged and the corner protectors have some scrapes and dings but nothing unexpected. No damage to covering etc. Based in South Shields, prefer collection but can deliver locally within reason or can meet in the middle within reason. Could look at shipping at buyers expense.
  7. Bought one new last year and it was a thing of beauty... Had a gripe with the nut being a bit shoddy but Ernie ball sent me 2 new sets of strings of my choice to compensate. About 3 months into ownership there were some gnarly intermittent issues with pick up phase, sent away for repair 2 times and returned unrepaired every time. They kept just re securing the pick up instead of swapping it out. In the end I got a refund and switched to a sandberg California II vt4 which is a totally different thing, but I was a bit soured on EBMM after that.
  8. Looks like you may have already been convinced, but they are fantastic basses! Great growling punchy tone, and a great look with the cream binding and matching headstock
