  1. Laney Richter R5 210 combo - £75 Old school 210 combo, sounds massive. As heavy as you'd expect a 23 year old combo to be, and far louder and "heftier" than the class D stuff kicking about today. In decent nick for its age - works absolutely fine. Got the extension 115 cab but this doesn't work - I'll throw this in if wanted incase anyone can fix it Too heavy to post I'm afraid so collection or local drop only

  2. Two fixer upper epiphone basses - £75 takes the pair one needs a new nut, one missing a bridge saddle and has a bit of heavy scratching on the body. Both electrically sound. Collection or local drop only on these I'm afraid
  3. I love the look of the AG, but couldn't justify it when I'm content with my tone hammer... i love that it's capable of both Amp sim, and sweetened clean tone. I didn't like the EQ on the Sansamp. A well made bit of kit, I just found it a bit bloated on the low end. I could easily go with either, @stewblack.The Digbeth sounds fantastic with an unbeaten feature set at its price point. Not sure why it's been slept on the way it has... I tried to buy mine back before committing to the Tone Hammer
  4. At risk of being devil's advocate here... I had the MB pre for a while, and enjoyed its basic tone however moved it on as I hated the way it clipped. Being a tube pre I assumed it'd compress and slightly break up as you'd expect from tube gear (without the drive on that is) however it seemed to have more of a digital clipping quality to it that was just awful. The logical thing to do was turn the gain down - but that felt like it lost headroom, and I use some loud effects before the pre that would have a similar result. Better players than me have used this to great effect though so of course YMMV. Ive been on a bit of a DI/preamp journey over the past year or so - Laney Digbeth, Sansamp VTDI, Source Audio Zio bass preamp, Joyo Tidal Wave, Joyo Monomyth, Ampeg SGT DI, HX Stomp, Ampero II Stomp, Mark Bass Vintage pre and more... but landed on the Aguilar Tone Hammer V1. Versatile as you like, has a lovely core tone and a really quality bit of kit. For me it'd be a toss up between this or the laney digbeth 👍
  5. Excellent drive/distortion/fuzz Swiss army knife pedal from source audio. Most everyone will know what this is by now, they've been highly regarded since release. Has every conceivable drive in it from rat to various big muffs to tube screamers and klons etc. All stackable, parrallel-able, HPF/LPF and eqable, clean blendable and presetable! In excellent condition with box, psu and trs cable - these didn't come with a usb cable but I'll throw one in too... Price includes shipping to UK

  6. Yeah sorry I decided to withdraw for now... ive got a queue for it already to be fair but currently holding onto it for fear of regret
  7. GATOR large aluminium pedal board with rigid soft case. Excellently made 1 piece pedal board. Big enough for a decent amount of pedals with clearance below for most PSUs. Has a plethora of velcro and plastic cable tidies underneath aswell as velcro for psu but all easily removed. Excellent condition, case shows signs of use but still in decent nick. These are currently £145-£200 new
  8. Ah! I've actually got it set to swell already... it just doesn't have the same sort of peak as what I'm trying to achieve, and the cut off doesn't seem as sharp.
  9. The 5th interval made sense... the rest was all swaheelee though! 😂 what do you mean by amp envelope?
  10. Already having sellers remorse... going to hold onto this for now until I'm 100000% happy to let it go, sorry!
  11. Sushi Box Space Heater - £120 shipped Tube "preamp" which adds all the goey saturation and tube feel you could ask for, and is capable of running into tube drive territory comfortably. No box but will be securely packaged for shipping. Selling as no longer required since 90% of my gig is now played through a C4 synth pedal
  12. Hey all! My band has recently started doing a techno version of Eminem's "Without me" (youtube link to the song we've based it off is below) and there's a very specific bass synth "wub" type sound that I'm struggling to nail... I'm convinced it's hiding in the C4 somewhere, and I'm close - but I think I'm struggling to get the filter right! Any suggestions would be much appreciated! The "wub" begins at around 42 seconds in
  13. I think it depends where he is at the time - my Taylor Shift shipped from Turkey. Wasn't valuable enough to incur fees though.
  14. I've had to remove the rattler from my board as I need the ultrawave (not pictured) for a song or two on occasion. I hugely miss it, and the ultrawave/hx one doesn't have anything that comes close to it... any one have any suggestions on a board between this (nano+) and the nano max where I'd get the rattler back on? (Ideally a small tuner, too)
  15. A very long and very expensive journey with a lot of bass casualties along the way 🥲... Hopefully this is the destination though 🤞 I get it though, given the P is where it all started you'd expect it to have been surpassed - horses for courses 🤷‍♂️
  16. I'm glad you didn't! 😂... I feel like Fender get alot of stick on the youtubes "sire showing fender up" etc, but truthfully this feels a level up from the two Sires I have.
  17. Thought I'd try the stripped back board again... without the slight tube compression from the Sushi Box space heater my c4 levels were a bit all over, and I'm not totally sold on the Taylor Shift. As someone in GAS recovery though, I'm fighting the urge to automatically sell off my big board, 3 Leaf Octabvre, SA Ultrawave and aforementioned Space heater to buy preamps and octavers I don't need.
  18. Another day, another NBD! First, a bit of back story... I'm Paul, and I'm a GASoholic. I've been playing for around 22 years now, and in this time can only think of two times I've truly been happy with a bass... First was an Aerodyne P around '07, which I let go for peanuts as I was convinced I needed a jazz bass in '16, and second was an EBMM Sterling 5 which developed a faulty pickup, but PMT would only refund (both pictured below) Other than this I've had premium, budget, mid range, headless, short scale, fan fret, four string, five strings from Ibanez, Yamaha, Rickenbacker, LTD, Spector, SBMM, Nordstrand, Sire, Squier, Sandberg, Fender, Charvel, Harley Benton... you name it! Every time, I find something I'm not fussed on, and either move on at a loss, or modify past the point of no return - whether it be neck profile, knob placement, active pickups, inherent mid scoop, perceived low end loss or ergonomic issues and so forth... Most recently it's been a Sire Z7 which I was convinced would push me through the mix, but I struggle with the weight and preamp and the cycle resumes... After weighing up my options I decided I'd like to try a P, but that it was time to grow up and a Sunburt P would be the way to go... no luck in the local stores (as usual) but then I spotted Greeneking's P on the FS section... After a couple of messages and an impulsive post xmas cross country drive, I arrived at Peter's house raring to give it a try. It didn't take long to decide it was for me, and off I went 1 bass heavier... And here she is! A fender Player II P... nothing fancy, and couldn't be any more opposite to the basses I've had in the past (P's are so boring, right?) But it totally clicked, and I'm in love! It plays like a dream, the neck isn't as fat as I remember Ps being, and it's light but it still roars and has that P weight to the sound. Ive played this bass EVERY night since I got it, (often into the early hours before remembering I have work tomorrow 😬). It's just so good in every way! I had a Mex Fender P back in 2010 and it was a DOG and put me off both Ps and Fender, but I've gigged this now around 6 times and each time I've been so excited to play it... For now at least, it feels like a forever bass! If you made it this far... thanks for reading!
  19. I can't believe this hasn't been outed yet! Talk about anticipation!
  20. I've been really interested in the bassrig '64! As a master of synthy stuff, have you tried running your C4 into it for FOH? The cab sim colouration is the only thing that scared me off getting one!
  21. I love the idea of a blendable analogue cam sim!
  22. I do! I was hoping the Taylor Shift would dethrone it and I could move it on - but not convinced that'll be the case now
  23. Honestly, I'm on the fence with it. It does the OC2 voiced thing better than the Octabvre, which had me really excited... but gigged it last night and it just felt lost on the mix, it just didn't have the same presence as the 3 Leaf. This is going from my in ear mix and gauging the rumble from the subs; we use any line array RCF Evox 12 set so it's very directional with very little bleed to the stage. I'd have to hear the actual sound out front to be sure, I'm hoping some videos emerge...
