  1. Mind if I ask what your experience has been with the Twonotes opus? I'm not even sure if I need cab emulation but it's something I keep being drawn to...
  2. Well spotted! It was the Hotone Patch Kommander (post corrected). It was an excellent bit of kit, really intuitive to use and really really handy when trying to prevent tap dancing. Couple of niggles that lead to it getting moved on: Jacks were too close to each other (too close to make angled cables easy but straight cables too space consuming) You couldn't amend pedal order - if more than one switch engaged it stacked from 1-4, no option for parallel or changing stack order Other than that though, well built and easy to use analogue option!
  3. While these lists are massively impressive - I'm just as impressed that you've all managed to remember them in alphabetical order! Here's mine - I've starred stuff currently still owned and tallied stuff I've bought multiple times! It's nowhere near as organised as alot of these lists, or as extensive - but there's some stuff on there I'm really sad to have moved on. 3Leaf Audio Octabvre Mini Aguilar AG Preamp Aguilar Tonehammer Preamp* Ampeg Optocomp Ampeg SGT-DI Ashdown James Lomenzo hyperdrive Ashdown Bass tuner Aphex Bass Exciter Boss OC-2 Octave Boss OC-3 Octave Boss OC-5 Octave Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion Boss LMB-3 Bass Limiter Enhancer Celebrity Pedals Taylor Shift* Cog T16 (II) Darkglass Alpha Omicron Demonfx Call76 compressor Digitech Whammy IV DopeFX Earth Dweller Dirty Haggard Audio Broken Dunlop Crybaby Wah EHX Bassballs EHX Bass Soul Food EHX Bass Big Muff EXH Double Muff EHX Deluxe Bass Big Muff EHX Hot Wax (II) EHX Green Russian Big Muff (II) EHX Sovtek Deluxe (II) Hotone Ampero II Stomp Hotone Patch Kommander Hotone Soul Press II IK Multimedia ToneX one Jam Bass Rattler Mk2 * Jam Dynassor Joyo Monomyth Joyo Orthoros* Joyo Tidal Wave Joyo Ultimate Drive* JPTRFX Jive (II) Korg Pitchblack Custom* Laney Digbeth Preamp Line 6 HX Stomp (II) Line 6 HX One* Mark Bass Vintage Preamp Malekko Diabolic Marshall Jackhammer Mooer Fog Bass Fuzz MXR M88 Octave MXR Bass Envelope Filter NUX MLD Bass Preamp Origin Effects Cali76 Bass Compressor Origin Effects Cali76 Compact Bass Compressor Source Audio Aftershock (III) Source Audio C4 * Source Audio Bass OFD Source Audio Ultrawave Bass* (II) Source Audio Bass Zio SushiboxFX Spaceheater* TC Electronic Spectracomp (II) TC Electronic Sub 'n' up TC Electronic Sub 'n' up mini TC Electronic Corona mini TC Electronic Mojomojo TC Electronic Spark Mini booster Tech21 Sansamp bass driver Tech21 Sansamp VTDI Two Notes Le Bass (II) Way Huge Pork & Pickle (III) XVive Bass Squeezer Zoom 506II Bass Zoom MS60B (II) Zvex Mastotron (II)
  4. I'd go with the EHX Hotwax for this. 2 distinct drives which are stackable and a universal blend control - fantastic pedal and really well priced.
  5. That explains why the ToneX Bass is a full £100 more than the standard ToneX! Rediculous really
  6. That's how it looks! Although they're presenting the presets as premium which makes me wonder if they're model specific... Clever marketing I suppose but poor for the consumer
  7. Seems a shame there’s a price jump from the tonex one to the tonex one bass edition though. The promise of a wet dry blend has me potentially sold though - it’ll likely kick my ultra wave and jam rattler off the board and I’ll keep the tone hammer as a DI/tone sculpt
  8. Boss OC-2 in like new condition (no box) - owes me £150 so will sell for £145 shipped Only listing until store purchased from come back with returns info - works perfectly I’m just going to stick with my 3leaf octabvre.
  9. Looks like it’s going back! Absolutely nothing wrong with it, I actually prefer the tone to my octabvre. That being said, the octabvre is close enough that I’d rather just keep hold of it rather than buy two pedals doing the same job - I’ll stick it on the f/s section until richtone come back with return info
  10. Not a bad shout at all!… just arrived obligatory photo
  11. I'll see what I can do for you pal... Out of interest, has anyone had any success just putting a boost after the OC2 and kicking them in at the same time? I hate tap dancing but it seems less likely to result in a broken OC2!
  12. While it's not here yet so technically not my latest pedal - I have an actual OC-2 due to arrive tomorrow after years of trying and testing various clones! Looking forward to removing the -2 control and seeing how the OG stacks up to my Octabvre mini!
  13. Delivered on the Ali-Express by any chance? Haha… I’ve just returned the full fat version as it happens - nice bit of kit but didn’t warrant £300
  14. Selling my Sushi Box Space Heater - it has a power issue which I’m sure someone with more technical knowledge than me could fix - but if I keep it it’ll just sit and rot. It had a new tube recently fitted too. I’ll take £90 and include shipping The Issue: original issue was a loss of sound which ended up being a tube issue. Tube had been replaced and all worked well - around 2 months after it began to no longer power up properly with the internal LED now lighting faintly rather than steady. I tried a third tube with the same issue. Also caused my hx one to power off indicating it’s pulling too much power from PSU possibly? if you can make use of this or have a go at repairing then it’s an awesome pedal that brings an unbelievable tube quality to your tone. I really miss it! sushi Fx will also repair any of their pedals whilst only charging for parts - so that’s something to consider too but I just haven’t got the time.
  15. Aguilar Tonehammer preamp V1 -£120 Well used but works a dream - these pedals are absolute tanks. No box or power supply but psu can be bought cheap enough. Battery compartment screw also missing but securely taped shut Selling as moved onto Aguilar AG preamp can ship for £5 securely
  16. I'm guessing this wasn't a good change? Really? I'm glad to hear the OC5 works for you, as it does for alot of other players - but I'm surprised it's more immediate, as with it being a digital pedal there's expected processing time that would normally result in some kind of latency (which admittedly was my experience).
  17. I enjoyed the tone of the one I briefly had - but the ever so slight latency of it put me off in the end. It just didn't have the same feel as my Octabvre mini or OC2s I've previously played through...
  18. Slightly more of a mid punch - but more than that there was a feel thing. Latency on the OC5 was minimal but it just wasn't as immediate as my octabvre is
  19. I don’t actually think I NEED anything to be honest… half of our set is clean and the other half is synth/solo octave sound. I LOVE the rattler, but don’t really need a drive sound at the moment and the ultra wave can do a decent enough job should the need arise so feels like a waste of a spot. id always like to get more out of my clean tone, I love the idea of something more amp-like but I’ve yet to find anything that gets on with my synth patches and octave, even the AGS amp trick takes more than it gives… I appreciate the shout on the OC5 @Al Krow, but I’ve had one before and it didn’t come close to my octabvre. I’ve got a Taylor shift too but the octave isn’t working, Celeb pedals offered to repair under warranty but I find shipping to Turkey a bit daunting! I’m unfortunate in that my eyes hear digital and I struggle to move past it. The HX one is purely there for chorus and delay!
  20. Really not satisfied with my board at the minute but not sure why… I don’t use a lot of drive but have 3 pedals capable of it on my board (hate the HX drives though). Thinking of dropping the rattler for something none drive related and also thinking of trying a MXR vintage bass octave instead of the Octabvre… any thoughts or suggestions?
  21. Sire V5R passive 4 string jazz - £250 Belter jazz bass, these sound massive and play like a dream with roasted maple neck, excellent fret work and rolled edges out the box. Bought new from Andertons. Tried to take images of small dings the bass has, hard to accurately photo but they're nothing major and don't affect playability. Happy to deliver within reason or meet in the middle 👍 would rather not ship but give me a shout to discuss.
  22. Excellent condition Squier CV mustang bass with Thomastik Infeld Low tension flats and fender short scale gigbag - £275 This bass was purchased from PMT back in April 2024 and the bass, gigbag and strings were over £450 and has barely been played. In excellent condition as is the gigbag. Genuinely one of the best feeling necks I've had (better than my sandberg cali II in honesty), I'm just not as into short scale basses and there's other stuff I want... happy to meet or drop off locally but not keen on shipping basses, give me a shout to discuss if shipping is a must 🙂

  23. Thanks for the replies both - Yes I got it sorted, I changed the tube and turns out this was the issue 🙂 Yes, you did reply to me Nathan, you advised to swap the tube and kindly offered a warranty repair on anything other than this which was very much appreciated and fortunately not needed 🙂
  24. Hey Si, yes mate I’ve sent an email over - just waiting on a response but hoping to have it back up and running for the weekend so thought I’d cover all grounds…
  25. Howdy! Bit of a funny one for me but hopefully the more learned folks of basschat can help me out! I've got a Sushibox Space heater (the same one I luckily decided not to sell a couple of months back!) and mid gig yesterday the volume suddenly dropped and went completely. Mid gig trouble shooting brought it to the sushi box, and I'm wondering if it's the tube. Anything in particular I should been looking out for? Is there a better model of tube people use as replacement? I'm made of questions! Cheers! Paul
