  1. Slightly more of a mid punch - but more than that there was a feel thing. Latency on the OC5 was minimal but it just wasn't as immediate as my octabvre is
  2. I don’t actually think I NEED anything to be honest… half of our set is clean and the other half is synth/solo octave sound. I LOVE the rattler, but don’t really need a drive sound at the moment and the ultra wave can do a decent enough job should the need arise so feels like a waste of a spot. id always like to get more out of my clean tone, I love the idea of something more amp-like but I’ve yet to find anything that gets on with my synth patches and octave, even the AGS amp trick takes more than it gives… I appreciate the shout on the OC5 @Al Krow, but I’ve had one before and it didn’t come close to my octabvre. I’ve got a Taylor shift too but the octave isn’t working, Celeb pedals offered to repair under warranty but I find shipping to Turkey a bit daunting! I’m unfortunate in that my eyes hear digital and I struggle to move past it. The HX one is purely there for chorus and delay!
  3. Really not satisfied with my board at the minute but not sure why… I don’t use a lot of drive but have 3 pedals capable of it on my board (hate the HX drives though). Thinking of dropping the rattler for something none drive related and also thinking of trying a MXR vintage bass octave instead of the Octabvre… any thoughts or suggestions?
  4. Sire V5R passive 4 string jazz - £250 Belter jazz bass, these sound massive and play like a dream with roasted maple neck, excellent fret work and rolled edges out the box. Bought new from Andertons. Tried to take images of small dings the bass has, hard to accurately photo but they're nothing major and don't affect playability. Happy to deliver within reason or meet in the middle 👍 would rather not ship but give me a shout to discuss.
  5. Excellent condition Squier CV mustang bass with Thomastik Infeld Low tension flats and fender short scale gigbag - £275 This bass was purchased from PMT back in April 2024 and the bass, gigbag and strings were over £450 and has barely been played. In excellent condition as is the gigbag. Genuinely one of the best feeling necks I've had (better than my sandberg cali II in honesty), I'm just not as into short scale basses and there's other stuff I want... happy to meet or drop off locally but not keen on shipping basses, give me a shout to discuss if shipping is a must 🙂

  6. Thanks for the replies both - Yes I got it sorted, I changed the tube and turns out this was the issue 🙂 Yes, you did reply to me Nathan, you advised to swap the tube and kindly offered a warranty repair on anything other than this which was very much appreciated and fortunately not needed 🙂
  7. Hey Si, yes mate I’ve sent an email over - just waiting on a response but hoping to have it back up and running for the weekend so thought I’d cover all grounds…
  8. Howdy! Bit of a funny one for me but hopefully the more learned folks of basschat can help me out! I've got a Sushibox Space heater (the same one I luckily decided not to sell a couple of months back!) and mid gig yesterday the volume suddenly dropped and went completely. Mid gig trouble shooting brought it to the sushi box, and I'm wondering if it's the tube. Anything in particular I should been looking out for? Is there a better model of tube people use as replacement? I'm made of questions! Cheers! Paul
  9. Honestly, SA dropped the ball on marketing - if they'd called it a utility pedal with endless distortion possibilities it'd have went down much better. Its basically a tone processor, with both semi and parametric eq, top quality compressor, endless drive/dist/fuzz options, as well as mad tremolo stuff too. It does the best gated fuzz tone ive ever used but it's capable of simple EQ changes, drives and more stuff than im capable of understanding
  10. First choice for me is Source Audio Ultrawave. Can be picked up cheap used as hugely under rated but need ot be prepared to program it via the app. Analogue choice would be the Jam Pedals Red Muck of EHX Sovtek Deluxe. Both fantastic
  11. Laney Richter R5 210 combo - £75 Old school 210 combo, sounds massive. As heavy as you'd expect a 23 year old combo to be, and far louder and "heftier" than the class D stuff kicking about today. In decent nick for its age - works absolutely fine. Got the extension 115 cab but this doesn't work - I'll throw this in if wanted incase anyone can fix it Too heavy to post I'm afraid so collection or local drop only

  12. Two fixer upper epiphone basses - £75 takes the pair one needs a new nut, one missing a bridge saddle and has a bit of heavy scratching on the body. Both electrically sound. Collection or local drop only on these I'm afraid
  13. I love the look of the AG, but couldn't justify it when I'm content with my tone hammer... i love that it's capable of both Amp sim, and sweetened clean tone. I didn't like the EQ on the Sansamp. A well made bit of kit, I just found it a bit bloated on the low end. I could easily go with either, @stewblack.The Digbeth sounds fantastic with an unbeaten feature set at its price point. Not sure why it's been slept on the way it has... I tried to buy mine back before committing to the Tone Hammer
  14. At risk of being devil's advocate here... I had the MB pre for a while, and enjoyed its basic tone however moved it on as I hated the way it clipped. Being a tube pre I assumed it'd compress and slightly break up as you'd expect from tube gear (without the drive on that is) however it seemed to have more of a digital clipping quality to it that was just awful. The logical thing to do was turn the gain down - but that felt like it lost headroom, and I use some loud effects before the pre that would have a similar result. Better players than me have used this to great effect though so of course YMMV. Ive been on a bit of a DI/preamp journey over the past year or so - Laney Digbeth, Sansamp VTDI, Source Audio Zio bass preamp, Joyo Tidal Wave, Joyo Monomyth, Ampeg SGT DI, HX Stomp, Ampero II Stomp, Mark Bass Vintage pre and more... but landed on the Aguilar Tone Hammer V1. Versatile as you like, has a lovely core tone and a really quality bit of kit. For me it'd be a toss up between this or the laney digbeth 👍
  15. Excellent drive/distortion/fuzz Swiss army knife pedal from source audio. Most everyone will know what this is by now, they've been highly regarded since release. Has every conceivable drive in it from rat to various big muffs to tube screamers and klons etc. All stackable, parrallel-able, HPF/LPF and eqable, clean blendable and presetable! In excellent condition with box, psu and trs cable - these didn't come with a usb cable but I'll throw one in too... Price includes shipping to UK

  16. Yeah sorry I decided to withdraw for now... ive got a queue for it already to be fair but currently holding onto it for fear of regret
  17. GATOR large aluminium pedal board with rigid soft case. Excellently made 1 piece pedal board. Big enough for a decent amount of pedals with clearance below for most PSUs. Has a plethora of velcro and plastic cable tidies underneath aswell as velcro for psu but all easily removed. Excellent condition, case shows signs of use but still in decent nick. These are currently £145-£200 new
  18. Ah! I've actually got it set to swell already... it just doesn't have the same sort of peak as what I'm trying to achieve, and the cut off doesn't seem as sharp.
  19. The 5th interval made sense... the rest was all swaheelee though! 😂 what do you mean by amp envelope?
  20. Already having sellers remorse... going to hold onto this for now until I'm 100000% happy to let it go, sorry!
  21. Sushi Box Space Heater - £120 shipped Tube "preamp" which adds all the goey saturation and tube feel you could ask for, and is capable of running into tube drive territory comfortably. No box but will be securely packaged for shipping. Selling as no longer required since 90% of my gig is now played through a C4 synth pedal
  22. Hey all! My band has recently started doing a techno version of Eminem's "Without me" (youtube link to the song we've based it off is below) and there's a very specific bass synth "wub" type sound that I'm struggling to nail... I'm convinced it's hiding in the C4 somewhere, and I'm close - but I think I'm struggling to get the filter right! Any suggestions would be much appreciated! The "wub" begins at around 42 seconds in
  23. I think it depends where he is at the time - my Taylor Shift shipped from Turkey. Wasn't valuable enough to incur fees though.
