1. That bass is cool.....but so is your jacket 👍👍
2.
I'm glad there's some love for the B1 - I've just ordered one as a "my first multi-fx pedal" for my lad
I don't think he'll be disappointed it is a really good pedal and exceptional value.
3. I have a B1on on my pedal board for the delays / reverbs and the Octaver. Does the job admirably imho.
4. I'd probably play 4 hours for free..... Oh wait sorry wrong thread.
5.
The good news is that the rehearsal went well. He's a very good drummer and seems like a nice bloke, and seemed into what we're trying to do. Spent most of the session working on one song, but by the end of it, we'd got it sorted. Took my wee Tascam along and the result was sounding pretty good (more bass needed though! ). My first finger is raw and sore, but I don't mind after a good rehearsal. Feeling quite positive about it. Meeting up with the guitarist next week for another writing session.
Good raw calluses after a rehearsal are the price we pay to rock out 👍
6. Don't get old and creaky and regret not even trying it. Attempt that steep learning curve and give it a whirl.
7.
Not gigging, but it's the first rehearsal with our new drummer... finger's crossed!
Have a goodun 👍 i'm rehearsing Monday.
8. I'm wondering if "GIGS" is something that have its own heading just underneath Forum Rules?
9.
1. Rockinbetter Rickenfaker 2. Rockinbetter Rickenfaker
Always been tempted to try a Rockinbetter.
10. I have an Epiphone Allen Woody Sig bass.....well made and a good sound in my view. Not too heavy either
11. Does anyone ever read that Gigs page regularly out of interest?
12. I have stripped down the Dirtybird.....i have an EMG TBHZ on order and will fit and remove the pickguard. I will probably fit a Gibson style cover over the pup/strings. The tuners and bridge are decent quality out of the box but the nut is far too high and needs removing and reducing in height.
13. Not bad.....i'm using mine to modify so it's in bits already
14. Loadsa effects on a Zoom B1on.....40 odd quid and lots of things you can mix, up to 5 effects.
15. Not sure i have got there yet. Still using my TC Electronic combo and an old Behringer head with 4x10 and 2x10 cabs.
16. Hopefully taking delivery tomorrow.....
17.
Fame is Musicstore's own brand hence why they're only seen there. The reason they're sold by DV247 is that Musicstore acquired DV247 in a decidedly dodgy (and borderline illegal) move when DV247 went bust a few years ago. See here for more details: http://theeccentricblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/digital-village.html?m=1
Oh yeah i've read all that before. I asked BC'ers views on the basses which are made by Mayones in Gdansk.
18. My Grandaughter dinked my Jazz but she got away with it like only Grandchildren can
19.
Congrats you free man you. NBD review asap please
Hope Mrs 6 doesn't notice the new bass case yes i will post a write up hopefully sometime next week
20. Not cool. I've only ever had good experiences with GAK and i am hopeful that they sort this issue out for you ASAP.
21.
Sell your MIJ 'Arry, buy a short and a long scale and have some loot spare Think Jow's sold one or two current stock in the last couple of days.
Got one en route
22.
Thanks for the shout out Karl. I'm waiting for the supplier to get back to me regarding the sea foam green. I would appreciate anymore ideas anyone as on different colour schemes for my next order.
Just ordered a longscale.....can't wait. Oh and Pelham Blue is very cool
23.
I prefer Hank's at the far end. Some cool gear in there. At highly inflated London prices though!
Hanks need to buy a feather duster and use it occasionally.....
24. It was a shame losing the Astoria but i'm glad it missed the Borderline and the Pillars of Hercules
