The vibrational characteristic changes over time. Due to both a) build up of 'crud' esp between windings on a round wound string. Hence cleaning techniques can restore a brighter sound. b) strings 'age' and lose their 'true' response eg it becomes impossible to intimate them reasonably. These changes are reflected in the magnetic field.

There is no defence for the Three Point Bridge M'Lud π€£

It's great. And the processed vocal bit is the best bit π

Depends on the individual obviously. But I do think heavier gauge strings are easier with a bit more spacing. fwiw I'm not really a fan of wide string spacings in general eh prefer 19mm Vs 20mm @ bridge. It may work out better as a baritone.

I love the idea and look of the Bass VI and copies of but I can't see the tight string spacing at the nut with beefy strings working for me. Maybe just as well as have run out of bass space π€£

The WR fightback starts here π³

Check out the Revelation RJT-60B.

Distance Selling legislation in England & Wales at least (not certain about Scotland / NI) also give the right to change mind without fault for IIRC 14 days. Although buyer then has to cover the shipping costs whereas returning due to a fault should be free. This applies to business sellers. Private sellers can properly specify "no returns" . Can get difficult if sellers claims to be a private individual but operates more like a sole-trader business.

WESTONE THUNDER I-A 1A 80s 4 STRING BASS GUITAR
rmorris replied to eubassix's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
The bridge is correct. I had one of these except fretless. Knobs also correct fwiw even though they are not particularly nice esp compared to the more usual types. -
Is it the Cricket reference that bothers you π€
-
Bought a pedal from me. All good. Recommended..π

You don't have to like it but it remains an era defining piece. Although I sort of prefer 586 in some ways. Of course there is also the body of work of Joy Division to consider in context. And fwiw - yes he is. (Not the Revenge stuff obvs. Or Freebass. π€£)

tbh the fact you had Absolute on (presumably by choice) is the worrying part here π€£

Picked up a B1Four from Sam yesterday in Brighton (Hove if you must π Easy and friendly to deal with. Thanks.

Thanks Sam and here it is powered up and plugged in with a chunk of Matsumoto goodness π

Is This Price for Making A Neck Reasonable?
rmorris replied to Obrienp's topic in Repairs and Technical
Sounds good. But I don't see how changing the fret dimensions facilitates a lower action. Strings nearer the fretboard yes but not closer to the apex of the fret ? -
tbh I think the thread is best kept to actual songs rather than bands etc. But have to give credit to that one. I'll make a contribution - REM - Losing My Religion. Not because I've had to play it too much (IIRC I "interpreted" one cover version ever) but just because it grates so much π
-
Crossing a line tbh...I never want to hear anything played by a Uke band π³
-
He is though. Also an artist with a large body of work. Meaning it's going to go off piste sometimes.

I was going to say I reckon that could well be the version you dislike most π€£ It's not the best is it and maybe kindest thing to say is that it was motivated by a good cause. Dislike of the song itself baffles me tbh but we're all different. Back to Bowie/Jagger - here's someone who was okay with the cover version but hated the video https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/music/mick-jaggers-dancing-in-the-street-video-is-one-the-worst-crimes-of-the-80s-6590104#:~:text=On this day%2C 27 years, charity concert event%2C Live Aid.

Well there seems to be some psychological issues at play here π³ But I'll go with "We Will Rock You" π€£ If only because chorus is pure cringe π³
-
tbh ime any "Jam Night" organised by performers taking part is more about the ego of those performers. With little self awareness.

This is getting dark now π³
