  1. The 3 that are left, are they all the mittels, red both ends? Edit... Apologies, I just looked properly and answered my own question.
  2. It's verified in the Google Play store, that's legit enough for me. I'll take a look, thanks for the heads up!
  3. That's a hell of a board, but how on earth do you power it?... there are some pretty power-hungry items on there!
  4. Steve Gadd at Ronnie's tomorrow, this time with Travis Carlton on Bass.
  5. A great time was had by all by the looks of it, many thanks to all those who made it happen! I could listen to Guy Pratt all day, either his anecdotes or his playing (checking out Toy Matinee as I type), and Laurence Cottle was a surprise bonus, what a musician, what a player. Great to have a noodle on MacDaddy's hot rod Shuker, and great to hear how well Stevie's LFSys cabs handle double bass... bloody well as it turns out. Also great to hang out in Wal/Smith corner... must have been a hell of a load in/load out, but that collection must have doubled the value of the school! 🤣
  6. I'll have a lovely Shuker Series 2, 5 string with me that sadly is surplus to my current needs, due largely to not being a double bass. It's far too good to be in storage.
  7. I have an unopened Laney 10w practice amp that I'll bring.
  8. I bought a Remic mic from Marc... dead easy to deal with. He got it in the post double quick, and it landed well packed and in great condition.
  9. Looking at the measurements for the 4501 it's a bit tall for under my FB/Tailpiece/bridge. Is there plenty of play in the foam, for squishing it in, or is it hard?
  10. They're a handy bit of kit, currently my 'traveling light' solution. I have A J-Tone and a Realist on my DB, and it works nicely with both, but it also works fine with my NS EUB too.
  11. A tardy but hearty congratulations! A great winner and all of them vote-worthy.
  12. Awesome, looks like we're around for this one, all being well. @cetera - Charvel 3B, ESP Surveyor '87, Fender FSR PJ Precision, Hamer Impact, Italia Imola, Spector NS2, Spector Euro, Spector EuroX (Spectorbird), Spector Pulse II, Spector Dimension 4HP, Gallien Krueger 400RB & Legacy800 heads, GenzBenz Neox 2x12 cab @TheGreek - All short scale this year - a @Jabba_the_gut scale 5er, Mini Ray, Short scale P bass @Harlequin74 - Zoot Performer, Status Shark, Spector QV4 , Markbass TTE501 and Matching CAB. Amp-wise a Markbass EVO and a 1x12 (last year I bought some others to try and never switched them on, as the EVO sounded spot-on). @SuperSeagull- Status S2, Feline P Bass, Modded Fender Lyte, Flea Jazz, MB Combo @Merton - various short and medium scale ACGs, Zoots and Conway basses, Barefaced cabs, modern Trace Elliot amps @MacDaddy Shuker (probably no3), Snapdragon Folding Bass, possibly a Rob Allen Mouse. @neilp - matching pair of fretted and fretless 1980 Aria SB1000s, possibly my fretless Wal mk1, Ashdown ABM500/Ampeg 4x10, Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig @NickD - Strunal Schonbach 5 String DB, and whatever else I can shoehorn in the car around it... hopefully a MD CMD121 H, Zoom B6, and maybe a Maruszczyk Jake and a Shuker Series 2.
  13. A cracking bunch already... Glad I'm not up against any of them. Festival and holidays season have left me on a non-starter this month. I'd hoped to sneak an evening or two in, but it wasn't to be.
  14. Cheers! It just looks like a slackening job (more on the bass side than the treble, obvs). I suppose if I feel my way through it I should be ok.
  15. Considering adding a Realist Copperhead to my bass, and looking at YouTube vids it seems like a relatively straightforward job. Is it though? I'm not a complete idiot, but for the sake of a few quid extra is it worth taking it in for fitting, of would you just get on with it? Thanks!
  16. It comes to us all doesn't it? To quote... er... you... "I like/love the Spiros". In your position I'd try and stay put until I had a definite sound in my head that I want to try and get close to, that would be noticeably different in your kind of ensemble mixes, and that the Spiros couldn't get close to... but I'd probably crack!🤣
  17. A cracking winner in a strong field. Nice job!

Tim had a James Jameson book from me. A perfect gent to deal with, the whole thing couldn't have been easier. Highly recommended!
